Bullpadel GB1200 Comfort Padel Overgrip (Pack of 3)

£6.99

The Bullpadel GB1200 Comfort padel overgrip is the brand's everyday overgrip, sold in packs of three, for players who want a thin, absorbent layer over the handle that they can change every few weeks without thinking about it.

It's 0.5mm thick, and Bullpadel puts its HaC moisture-absorbing finish on it. This listing's photo shows the neon orange pack; we also list the same grip in white and in fluorescent yellow. The pink Bullpadel pack is a different overgrip, the micro-perforated GB-1201.

Thin, absorbent, and quiet about how tacky it is

At 0.5mm it sits in the middle of the range: a shade thicker than the thinnest tennis-style overgrips, a little thinner than the 0.6mm grips from Head and Bas3line. Thin is good if your handle already feels right and you just want a fresh surface, because it barely changes the grip size.

Bullpadel describes it as breathable and absorbent, with "maximum grip" and a "firm and secure" hold, but none of its retailers says whether it feels tacky or dry in the hand. We'd call it an absorbent grip first. If you want a definite tacky feel for cold indoor sessions, HEAD's Padel Pro is the one most clubs sell; if your palms sweat through anything, Bullpadel's own Comfort Dry tub of 50 uses a micro-perforated version built for exactly that.

Against the other overgrips we list

Most people buy whatever came on their racket, which for Bullpadel owners is usually this one. That's not a bad default. The table shows where it sits next to the alternatives, and the full comparison of tacky, dry and perforated finishes is on our padel grip page.

Fitting and changing it

Start at the butt cap, peel the backing as you go, wrap upwards with about a third of each turn overlapping the last, and finish with the tape that comes in the pack. Padel overgrips are shorter than tennis ones, so you shouldn't have much to trim. Change it when it goes shiny or starts to slip; for a twice-a-week player in summer that's every week or two. A wristband such as Bullpadel's black and white pair slows that down by catching sweat before it reaches your hand.

Not for you if

You want your grip noticeably thicker. At 0.5mm one layer adds very little; players building up a thin handle usually go for a thicker, cushioned overgrip or two layers.

On a Bullpadel racket

The GB1200 is the overgrip you'll find on most Bullpadel rackets, so if you've just bought a Bullpadel racket and liked the feel, this is the like-for-like replacement. The rest of our padel racket range takes it too; a padel handle is a padel handle.

Bullpadel GB1200 Comfort Padel Overgrip (Pack of 3): questions people ask

Is the Bullpadel GB1200 the same as the GB-1200 Comfort overgrip?

Yes. Shops write it GB1200, GB-1200 or GB-1200 Comfort; it is the same 0.5mm Bullpadel overgrip, sold in packs of three.

Is the Bullpadel GB1200 overgrip tacky or dry?

Bullpadel and its retailers describe it as absorbent and breathable, with a firm grip, but none states tacky or dry. If you need a definitely dry grip, the micro-perforated Comfort Dry version is built for sweaty hands.

Bullpadel GB1200 or Head Padel Pro overgrip: which is better?

The GB1200 is thinner at 0.5mm and sold as absorbent; the Head Padel Pro is 0.6mm and tacky. Choose the GB1200 if you like a thin feel, the Head if you want more tack in cold weather.

How often should I change a Bullpadel GB1200 overgrip?

When it goes shiny or slips. No maker publishes an interval; for a twice-a-week player in summer that is usually every one to two weeks.

How thick is the Bullpadel GB1200 overgrip?

0.5mm, according to Padel Nuestro's listing for the GB-1200.
