Dunlop Viper Dry Overgrip

£2.50

The Dunlop Viper Dry overgrip is a thin, textured wrap for racket players who want a dry feel on the handle and a direct feel of the racket. Sellers give the thickness as 0.6 mm and describe an ultra dry feel with a textured surface that creates superior tack.

It is mostly listed as a tennis overgrip, and one retailer pitches it to padel players too. Our title does not give a count, so check that you are buying a single grip.

What the Viper Dry overgrip is

Tennis Warehouse Europe describes an ultra dry feel with a textured surface, meant for long hours on court, and gives the thickness as 0.6 mm. It says nothing about perforation, length or material. iPon calls the black version a good choice for tennis and padel because 0.60 mm gives a direct feel.

The name is spelled Viper Dry, Viperdry and, on Dunlop's tennis range, Viperdry ATP. They are the same family. The replacement grip is a different, thicker product.

Table of what is stated about the Dunlop Viper Dry overgrip: 0.6 mm thickness on retailer listings, textured ultra dry surface from Tennis Warehouse Europe, padel use pitched by one seller and the count in our title not stated

How it sits next to the other Dunlop grips

At 0.6 mm it is a touch thicker than the 0.55 mm listed for the Super Tac, and it is the textured option where the Tour Dry is perforated. For cushioning, the Tour Pro is the soft one.

If you want to buy three at once, the Viper Dry 3 pack is the natural step, the 30 pack suits clubs, and the padel grip hub covers other brands.
