Hirostar Junior Alien Padel Racket

£129

The Hirostar Junior Alien padel racket is a light racket for young players: listed at 310 to 330 g with a fibreglass face, a carbon tube and a soft EVA core with anti-vibration inserts. Stockists pitch it at children in the early stages of learning, and one calls it manoeuvrable and forgiving.

It is the junior sibling of the adult Alien line, which is a very different racket at 365 to 380 g. We found no brand sheet or independent review, so every figure here comes from retailer listings, and those disagree on the shape.

What stockists publish about the Junior Alien

The weight is the one number everyone agrees on: 310 to 330 g. An Italian retailer's 2026 listing describes a flexible fibreglass face, a carbon tube frame and a soft EVA core with vibration damping. Sportlet adds a low balance and calls the shape a drop. A 2025 listing from Prime Padel calls it a diamond.

That shape conflict matters less on a junior racket than it would on an adult one, because at this weight and with a soft face the racket will not behave like a power diamond whatever the label says. Head size, length and grip size are not published for the junior, so do not assume the adult Alien's 485 cm2 head carries over.

Why the weight is the point

A child swinging a 370 g adult racket loses control of the head and starts to hit with the wrist and elbow, which is how bad habits and sore joints begin. At 310 to 330 g the junior is 40 to 70 g lighter than the Hirostar Alien Core or the Alien Pro, and still lighter than the 345 to 360 g Hirostar Andromeda.

If your child is tall, strong and already rallying, a lightweight adult racket may be the next step. Otherwise stay with a true junior. The kids padel racket page lists the others we stock.

When to skip the Junior Alien

Skip it for teenagers who already hit hard and want a full-size racket, and for anyone who needs a published size sheet before buying, because head size and grip size are not given. If you are unsure, our beginner padel rackets page covers the adult starters, and the guide to choosing a padel racket explains how weight and balance affect a young arm.

Not for you if

You want a racket with an independent review or a confirmed size sheet. The Junior Alien is a light fibreglass racket described by retailers only, labelled 2025 or 2026, with shape listed as drop or diamond.

Kit for a young player

Add a racket protector, since children meet the glass often, and a fresh overgrip from the padel grips range. Slower, softer padel balls are easier for small hands, and proper padel shoes matter more than the racket for avoiding slips on sand. The full padel racket range has the adult options for later.

Hirostar Junior Alien Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Hirostar Junior Alien the same as the Alien Junior?

Yes. Retailers use both names, and Italian stockists list it as the Alien Junior 26. We use the name on our listing.

How heavy is the Hirostar Junior Alien?

Listings give 310 to 330 g, which is 40 to 70 g lighter than the adult Alien rackets.

What age is the Hirostar Junior Alien for?

Retailers say young players in the early stages of learning but give no age band. Judge by height, strength and how well the child controls the racket head.

Is the Hirostar Junior Alien round or diamond?

Sources disagree: Sportlet says drop and a 2025 Prime Padel listing says diamond. At this weight and softness it should play as a forgiving junior either way.

Is the Hirostar Junior Alien a carbon racket?

Partly. The 2026 listing describes a fibreglass face with a carbon tube frame.

Is there a review of the Hirostar Junior Alien?

We found only retailer copy and one short review calling it manoeuvrable and forgiving. Treat the specs as a guide.
