Joma Hyper Pro HRD Vero Virseda Padel Racket 2026

£163.99

The Joma Hyper Pro HRD Vero Virseda padel racket is Joma's hard-core diamond for advanced players: a high-balance, head-heavy shape with a 12K carbon face, a Black EVA HRD core and a weight of about 350 to 370 g. It's built to finish points, and it asks for a player who can swing it.

HRD stands for hard. The Vero Virseda name sits on the 2026 edition, and shops list the plain Hyper Pro HRD and the Virseda version side by side, so check which one you're ordering.

What the spec sheet says

Tennis Nuts lists a diamond head, a high, head-heavy balance, a 12K carbon face, a 100% carbon tubular frame with Joma's Dualtech Frame, a rough 3D Spin surface and a 38 mm profile. The core is Black EVA, and the shop's FAQ explains HRD as the hard, high-density version. It lists the racket as advanced level with a power focus, and its staff review calls it best suited to advanced or strong intermediate players.

Weight is quoted two ways on the same page: 360 to 370 g in the details and 350 to 360 g in the table. Both meet at 360 g, so we say 350 to 370 g. Reviewers add that the head-heavy balance makes it feel heavier than the number once you swing it.

HRD, Vero Virseda, Premier Padel: which is which?

Joma's 2026 line has several rackets with similar names, and listings muddle them. This page is the Hyper Pro HRD with the Vero Virseda name. The black and beige Hyper Pro HRD is listed without a player name, and we hold a separate Hyper Pro HRD Premier Padel Valladolid P2 edition. One search summary notes that reviews of the Virseda version describe the same specs as the HRD platform, though we couldn't confirm that from Joma, so treat them as the same racket in different artwork until Joma says otherwise.

Don't mix it up with the Hyper 3.0 Vero Virseda, which is a different model, quoted at 350 to 360 g. And the Hyper Pro SFT is the softer-cored version of this one, with a medium-hard core per Joma.

Not for you if

You're new to padel, your overhead is still a work in progress, or your elbow complains after long sessions. A diamond with a hard core punishes a late swing, and Tennis Nuts itself calls it less forgiving than softer control rackets. Start on something round.

Who it suits

Advanced players who attack from the net, finish with the smash and want the racket to add pace rather than soak it up. If that's you, our diamond padel racket page explains the shape, and the advanced padel rackets list puts this one beside its rivals. The wider padel racket range covers everything else.

A strong intermediate who has moved up from a hybrid can try it, but a soft hybrid is easier to learn on and forgives a late contact.

Setting it up

A head-heavy diamond benefits from a fresh overgrip, so keep a spare from padel grips in the bag, and a racket protector on the rim helps the frame survive wall contact. Use a firm, new ball from padel balls, because a hard core and a flat ball are an unhappy pair. Court shoes from padel shoes matter more with a racket that rewards explosive movement.

Joma Hyper Pro HRD Vero Virseda Padel Racket 2026: questions people ask

What does HRD mean on the Joma Hyper Pro HRD?

Hard. It is the hard-cored version of the Hyper Pro, with a high-density Black EVA core, and the Hyper Pro SFT is the softer-cored sibling, which Joma calls medium-hard.

Is the Joma Hyper Pro HRD Vero Virseda the same as the Hyper Pro HRD?

Shops list them side by side. Reviews describe the Virseda version with the HRD specs, but Joma does not confirm that, so check the product name and code.

Is the Joma Hyper Pro HRD the same as the Hyper 3.0 Vero Virseda?

No. They are different models. The Hyper 3.0 Vero Virseda is quoted at 350 to 360 g, and the Hyper Pro HRD at 350 to 370 g.

Is the Joma Hyper Pro HRD good for intermediate players?

It is aimed at advanced players. A strong intermediate can use it, but it is less forgiving than softer rackets and demands a full swing.

How heavy is the Joma Hyper Pro HRD?

Between 350 and 370 g, depending on where you look. The head-heavy balance makes it feel heavier in play.
