Kelme Coyote Padel Racket (2025)

£74.95

The Kelme Coyote padel racket is Kelme's 2025 carbon model: carbon-fibre faces on a carbon frame, a smooth surface and a weight of about 360 g. UK shops pitch it at advanced players who want a balance of power and control, and it's one of the few full-carbon rackets you'll find at an entry-level price.

Be warned, though: the two UK listings we found describe it differently. One says diamond, one says teardrop; one says 3K carbon over a hard core, the other 12K carbon over an extra-soft one. We set out both below and will confirm the real thing when stock arrives.

What the listings say, and where they disagree

Padel Shack's listing gives 360 to 370 g, an even balance, a hard EVA core and a 3K carbon face, and its spec table says diamond while its own description says teardrop. Stringers World lists a teardrop with a 12K carbon face and an XtraSoft EVA core, and leaves the weight blank. Both agree on the carbon frame, the smooth face and the 2025 season.

Kelme doesn't publish a UK spec sheet that we could find, and no independent tester has scored the 2025 Coyote. So we won't guess. Our catalogue lists it as a diamond, following the most detailed spec table, and we'll correct the page if the box says otherwise.

Why the shape question matters

It changes who the racket is for. A teardrop with a medium balance keeps the sweet spot central and suits an all-court player; a diamond puts the weight and the sweet spot higher, which helps a smash and punishes late contact. Our diamond padel racket and teardrop padel racket pages explain the difference in more detail.

The core matters as much. A hard core over a 3K face would make this a firm, direct racket; an extra-soft core under 12K carbon would make it far more comfortable. Until we've had one in the hand, assume a carbon racket that needs a proper swing.

Against other cut-price carbon rackets

The Coyote is a 2025 racket marked down from a list price far above where it sells now, which is why it sits on our cheap padel racket page. If you want a carbon racket at this price with a spec you can rely on, Siux's round Trilogy Elite 6 has a 3K carbon face and a published 368 g, and HEAD's Speed Motion 2023 is a quick carbon-and-glass teardrop with two Padelful reviews behind it.

Who should buy it

A club player who already has a season or two behind them, wants to move to carbon without paying full price, and doesn't mind a racket whose spec sheet is still a bit of a mystery. Shops pitch it at advanced players; we'd say improvers with a clean swing will get on with it too, depending on which core it turns out to have.

Not for you if

You need to know exactly what you're buying, you're a beginner, or you've had elbow trouble and the core turns out to be the hard one. Start with a round racket from our beginners padel racket page instead.

Setting it up

A smooth carbon face gets little bite on the ball, so a tacky overgrip and good technique do the spin work; our padel grips page has the options. Fit a racket protector to keep the carbon frame clear of the glass.

Add fresh balls from our padel balls range, padel shoes with a herringbone sole and a padel bag. For every other option, browse each padel racket we list or read how to choose a padel racket.

Kelme Coyote Padel Racket (2025): questions people ask

Is the Kelme Coyote a diamond or a teardrop?

UK listings disagree. Padel Shack's spec table says diamond while its description says teardrop, and Stringers World says teardrop. We list it as a diamond and will confirm when stock arrives.

Is the Kelme Coyote good for beginners?

Not really. It is a carbon racket aimed at advanced players, and its core may be hard. A beginner will be better served by a round, soft-cored racket.

Kelme Coyote or Siux Trilogy Elite 6: which is the safer cut-price carbon buy?

The Siux, because its spec is published: round, low balance, 3K carbon, 368 g. The Coyote may suit you just as well, but its shape and core are not yet confirmed.

How do I protect the Kelme Coyote's carbon frame?

Fit a frame protector before you play, use a cover, and keep the racket out of hot cars and direct sun.

How heavy is the Kelme Coyote?

Padel Shack lists 360 to 370 g; Stringers World gives no figure. An overgrip adds a few grams at the handle.
