LOK CARB-ON Hype Gen 2 Padel Racket 2026
£139.50
The LOK CARB-ON Hype Gen 2 padel racket is LOK's carbon diamond for players who attack: a head-heavy shape, a carbon frame, a medium EVA core and a weight of 360 to 375 g. It's the first step in the Hype line where the power comes from the racket and not just the swing.
Padelful rates it for intermediate-plus to advanced players and scores its power at 9.1 out of 10, which is the standout. The price of that power is a diamond's usual bargain: the sweet spot is demanding, and defence needs early preparation.

Which level is the LOK CARB-ON HYPE GEN 2 2026 Padel Racket for?
By Tushan Das, Owner, Padel Depot · Updated
What the sources say
Padelful and Padel Reference agree on a diamond shape, a weight of about 365 g in a 360 to 375 g range, a head-heavy balance and a carbon frame. Padel Reference gives the frame as 6K carbon with carbon reinforcement, and a Custom EVA core of medium density in an Asymmetric Heart structure. It lists a Gradual Face and a carbon surface with 3D Spin Line texture.
The face is where the sources wobble: Padelful's metadata says flex carbon fibre and its body text says fibreglass. The level wobbles too, from intermediate-plus to advanced on Padelful to advanced to expert on Padel Reference's table. We'd read it as advanced club level.

How it plays, and what carbon adds
Padelful scores it at 9.1 for power, 8.5 for rebound, 8.3 for control, 8 for sweet spot and 7.6 for manoeuvrability. It praises finishing power on the smash, firm and stable volleys, a clean bandeja and vibora and a lively ball exit on clean contact. It warns that defence needs early preparation, that there's limited help off the wall and that the sweet spot is demanding on mis-hits.
Against the BE Hype Gen 2, the same site scores carbon higher on power, control, manoeuvrability and sweet spot, and lower on rebound, the soft racket's strength. Carbon makes the racket firmer and more precise, and takes away some of the free ball output.
| If you want | Look at | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Want balls from the same brand | LOK Fresh balls | |
| Want the Franco Dal Bianco edition | the Hype FDB Gen 2 | |
| A carbon diamond for attacking | LOK CARB-ON Hype Gen 2 | Power 9.1, firm and stable |
| A softer, gentler diamond | LOK BE Hype Gen 2 | Fibreglass, medium-soft |
| A step between the two | LOK EASY Hype Gen 2 | Scores sit between the two |
| The top of the Hype line | LOK MAXX Hype Gen 2 or LOK Jungle | C18 carbon face |
| A round racket with a carbon face | LOK CARB-ON Flow Gen 2 | Round shape, control |
Not for you if
You rely on defence and the back wall, or your timing is still inconsistent. Padelful flags weak off-wall help and a demanding sweet spot, so a round racket or the softer BE Hype will treat you better.

CARB-ON Hype Gen 2 against BE Hype Gen 2. Carbon buys power, control and sweet spot. Rebound, the soft racket's strength, drops slightly. Padelful scores out of 100 from its LOK brand page. One site's ratings, not lab tests.
Who it suits
Intermediate-plus and advanced club players who attack from the net, finish with the smash and have solid timing. It belongs on the diamond padel racket shortlist, and among the advanced padel rackets for anyone comparing carbon options. Start at padel racket to compare other brands.
Looking after it
A racket protector on the rim is cheap insurance for a carbon frame, and a spare overgrip from padel grips keeps the handle tacky. Fresh padel balls suit a firm racket, and good padel shoes and a padel bag with a racket compartment finish the kit.
