LOK MAXX Hype Gen 2 Padel Racket 2026
£179.70
The LOK MAXX Hype Gen 2 padel racket is LOK's hardest-hitting racket: a high-balance diamond with a hard EVA core, a hard 18K carbon face on a carbon frame, and a weight of 360 to 375 g. LOK's own description calls it the Maxx Hype 2 by Mike Yanguas, and says it's made for top-level players.
Padelful scores its power at 9.3 and its control at 9.1, and calls it a serious attacking racket for players who finish points. The price of that is a small sweet spot, a racket that punishes off-centre contact and a ball exit that's controlled rather than lively.

Which level is the LOK MAXX HYPE GEN 2 2026 Padel Racket for?
By Tushan Das, Owner, Padel Depot · Updated
The spec sheet
RacketGuide lists a diamond with a high balance, a 38 mm carbon frame, a textured, hard 18K carbon surface and a hard EVA core at 360 to 375 g, and marks the information as verified by LOK. It names C18 carbon, an exclusive EVA rubber, an asymmetrical core, Gradual Face, a Vibration Groove and 3D Spin Lines among the technologies.
Padelful agrees on the diamond shape, the weight, the carbon frame and the C18 face, and calls the feel medium-hard. That's a small disagreement with RacketGuide's hard core, and the safe reading is firm. Padelful lists two editions of the racket, Mike Yanguas and Yanguas World, and says the Yanguas World name is part of the model name; our listing doesn't name an edition.

How it plays
Padelful scores the Yanguas World edition at 9.3 for power, 9.1 for control, 8 for sweet spot, 7.6 for manoeuvrability and 7.5 for rebound, 8.3 overall. It praises strong overhead punch, firm and direct net bite and a stable bandeja and vibora. It warns of a small sweet spot, punishment for off-centre contact and demanding defence.
On Padelful's brand page, the two MAXX Hype editions have the highest power scores of LOK's 2026 rackets, 93 and 96 out of 100, with control at 90 or 91. The reviewer's advice is for advanced players or strong intermediates who generate their own pace and like a firm, connected feel.
| If you want | Look at | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Want the Franco Dal Bianco edition | the Carb-On Hype FDB Gen 2 | |
| Want the matching backpack | the Maxx Gen 2 backpack | |
| Want the matching racket bag | the Maxx Gen 2 racket bag | |
| LOK's hardest-hitting diamond | LOK MAXX Hype Gen 2 | Hard EVA, 18K carbon, power 9.3 |
| A firm diamond with a Memory EVA core | LOK Jungle | Medium core, high balance |
| A carbon diamond with more forgiveness | LOK CARB-ON Hype Gen 2 | Carbon frame, easier sweet spot |
| The round MAXX | LOK MAXX Flow Gen 2 | Control 9.1, huge sweet spot |
| An easier diamond | LOK EASY Hype Gen 2 | Medium-soft, forgiving |
Not for you if
You're still developing your swing, or you like a springy ball exit and a forgiving sweet spot. A hard core, a hard 18K surface and a diamond head punish off-centre contact, and a softer racket will give you a better day on court.

| MAXX Hype, Yanguas World | 93 | 91 |
| MAXX Hype, Mike Yanguas | 96 | 90 |
Two MAXX Hype editions, ranked by Padelful. The MAXX Hype has the highest power score in LOK's range, 93 to 96, with control at 90 or 91. Padelful scores out of 100 from its LOK brand page (two MAXX Hype editions). One site's ratings, not lab tests.
Who it suits
Advanced club players and strong intermediates with a fast overhead and a clean swing, who want a firm, direct racket and are happy to pay for it with a smaller sweet spot. It sits on the diamond padel racket page and among the advanced padel rackets, with the other carbon padel rackets. For other brands, start at padel racket.
Looking after it
A hard core and a hard surface are less forgiving of knocks, so fit a racket protector and carry the racket in a padel bag with a racket compartment. A spare overgrip from padel grips, fresh padel balls and decent padel shoes finish the kit.
