LOK EASY Hype Gen 2 Padel Racket 2026

£97.50

The LOK EASY Hype Gen 2 padel racket is an attacking diamond with the edges sanded off: head-heavy, 360 to 375 g, a carbon-enhanced face and a medium-soft EVA core, for players who want to hit through the ball but still want forgiveness. It's the diamond for someone moving up from a round racket.

Padelful's description is the useful one: friendlier than a typical hard diamond, good for overheads and a repeatable bandeja, slower in defence and in need of a committed swing.

What the sources say

Padelful and Padel Reference agree on a diamond shape and a head-heavy balance, with a carbon face of the Flex Fiber type. Padelful lists a carbon fibre frame and a medium-soft feel. Padel Reference lists a 370 g weight, a Custom EVA core of medium density in an Asymmetric Heart structure and carbon reinforcement in key areas, and doesn't state the frame outright.

Padel Reference also lists the level as intermediate in one field and beginner to intermediate in another. Padelful doesn't give a level, so we'd go with the soft, forgiving description: an improver's diamond. One field on Padel Reference says 18k carbon, which looks like a slip given the rest of the sheet, so we haven't used it.

Comparison of Padelful and Padel Reference for the LOK EASY Hype Gen 2: both say diamond and head heavy, with weight 360 to 375 grams against 370 grams, and differing frame and level wording

How it plays, and how it differs from the EASY Flow

Padelful scores it at 8.9 for rebound, 8 for sweet spot, 7.8 for power, 7.6 for control and 7.3 for manoeuvrability, 7.9 overall. It praises a lively ball exit, a generous sweet spot and an easy, repeatable bandeja. It says defensive reactions are slower, soft touch is less precise and the racket needs a committed swing.

The EASY Flow is the round racket in the same line. On Padelful's scores the Hype has a little more power and rebound, and the Flow has clearly better manoeuvrability and sweet spot. Choose by how you win points: the Hype if you attack, the Flow if you defend.

Not for you if

You want delicate touch or very quick reactions at the net, or you're still learning to find the middle of the racket. Padelful flags less precise soft touch and slower defensive reactions, and a diamond punishes a mis-hit more than a round racket does.

Looking after it

A racket protector on the frame and a spare overgrip from padel grips are the first two buys. A tube of padel balls, good padel shoes and a padel bag complete the kit.
