Set Padel White Wolf Padel Racket 2025

£132

The Set Padel White Wolf padel racket is the control-leaning Wolf: an oversize mixed-shape head, a soft EVA core, a 3K carbon build and a weight of about 360 g, aimed by SET at advanced and professional players who want a versatile game. SET rates its own power at 80% and its control at 90%.

Next to the Black Wolf it has the same carbon build and an opposite core, soft where the Black Wolf is hard. That makes it the one to pick if you want a premium carbon racket without a harsh feel.

What SET and the shops say

SET's own page lists a mixed oversize format at 355 to 365 g, an ultra soft EVA core, a 100% 3K carbon construction and a 3D embossed finish, for advanced and professional players with an attacking style. It sells the racket in weight bands from 355 to 370 g, so two White Wolves can differ by a few grams.

Stringers World lists a hybrid at 360 to 370 g with an even balance, a soft performance EVA core and a 3K carbon face and frame at 38 mm. Other shops call it a hybrid or a diamond with a medium-high balance, and quote 355 to 375 g. So the shape label and the balance vary, and the soft core and the 3K carbon don't.

How it should play

We found no scored review of this racket, so this is read from the specs and from SET's wording. A soft core on a carbon build gives a racket that feels connected without being harsh: the ball dwells a touch longer on the face, which helps placement and touch at the net. SET's ratings, 90% control against 80% power, agree.

The oversize mixed head gives a larger hitting area than a diamond. The balance is somewhere between even and medium-high, so it won't be as head-heavy as a pure power racket, and it should be easier to swing for a long match.

Not for you if

You want a racket that hits hard on its own. SET rates the White Wolf at 80% power, and the soft core stores less energy than a hard one, so heavy hitters will do better with the Black Wolf. It's also an advanced racket by SET's own rating, so a first-timer should look elsewhere.

Comparison of SET's White Wolf and Black Wolf 2025: both 100 percent 3K carbon and advanced to professional, with an ultra soft EVA core and 80 percent power and 90 percent control on the White Wolf against a hard EVA core and 100 percent power and 80 percent control on the Black Wolf

Who it suits

Advanced club players who like a connected feel, play a balance of attack and defence and want carbon without the sting. It belongs on our teardrop and hybrid rackets page and among the advanced padel rackets, with the other carbon padel rackets. To compare other brands, start at padel racket.

Looking after it

A racket protector is worth fitting to a carbon frame, and a spare overgrip from padel grips keeps the handle tacky. Fresh padel balls suit a soft core, and decent padel shoes and a padel bag finish the kit.
