StarVie Black Titan 2026 Padel Racket

£145.50

The StarVie Black Titan 2026 is StarVie's hard-hitting attacker for advanced players: a high-balance hybrid with a 24K Carbon Master face, a hard H-EVA Power core and a weight of 358 g, give or take 8. It suits players who create their own pace, finish at the net and don't mind a firm, demanding racket.

Padelful scores it 9.4 for power and 9.7 for control, with an overall 8.6. The cost is in forgiveness and speed in defence: sweet spot 8.1, manoeuvrability 7.8 and a feel that Padelful calls hard.

It is the 2026 racket, with a 2027 Black Titan now on sale, so check the season before you buy.

What the Black Titan is

StarVie lists a 24K carbon face, a hard H-EVA Power foam core and a 38 mm profile, with a list of named technologies. Spin Boost Tech is a textured surface for spin, Anti-Vibe is a vibration-damping rubber, Dynamic Star is an adjustable central weight for fine-tuning the balance, Five Sides Tech is an angular frame for stiffness, and Reactive Holes is a curved hole pattern for stability.

The listings disagree on a few points. Padelgids gives 358 g with an 8 g tolerance, other retailers 350 to 370 g, and Padelful 350 and 365. Padelful's shape field says teardrop and Padelgids says hybrid, which is the sensible middle for a high-balance teardrop. We call it a hybrid and use the 358 g figure.

How the Black Titan plays

Heavy at the front and firm in the hand. Padelful's reviewer found stable, weighty volleys, clean bandejas and viboras and strong smash transfer, and a control score of 9.7 is the standout: the racket goes where you point it, as long as you give it a clean strike.

The trade is what you would expect. Defence needs early preparation, low balls can feel dry, and quick exchanges feel stiff. It rewards good technique and punishes poor timing, and one community reviewer on Padelful called it heavy. This is an advanced racket, or a strong intermediate's stretch.

Against the Astrum+: harder hitting, more precise, less forgiving. Padelful scores out of 10.

Black Titan or Astrum+?

They are StarVie's two ends. The Astrum+ 2027 is the forgiving, medium-cored teardrop that wins on sweet spot and rebound. The Black Titan gives up that forgiveness for a much higher power and control ceiling, as the chart shows.

If you want the middle of the range, the Raptor+ 2026 is the balanced all-rounder, and StarVie also makes the Triton Power+ and Triton Balance+, which we list. For most club players, the Astrum+ is the more comfortable day-to-day racket, and the Black Titan is for those who play to finish.

Who should skip the Black Titan

Anyone who needs help generating pace or wants comfort over a long match. A 24K face on a hard core on a head-heavy frame is hard on the arm, and the best padel racket for intermediate players page lists forgiving alternatives. Our control padel rackets page covers rounder, steadier choices.

Not for you if

You have a sensitive elbow or play mostly from the back. Padelful describes a hard feel, a dry response on low balls and defence that needs early preparation. The diamond padel racket page has other firm rackets, so compare before you commit.

Setting up a Black Titan

A hard racket needs a cushioned grip. An overgrip such as the Head Pro overgrip is the usual first extra, and our padel grips page explains when to replace instead. Fit frame tape from the racket protector range, since a 358 g head meets the floor hard.

Fresh balls soften the feel of a hard racket, so a tube of Bullpadel Next balls is a sensible companion, and the padel balls page explains how quickly pressure fades. The padel bags and padel shoes pages complete the kit, and the full padel racket range, the advanced padel rackets list and our guide to choosing a padel racket put it in context.
