Vairo Columns Ultra Padel Racket

£58.63

The Vairo Columns Ultra padel racket is a medium-balance hybrid with 24K Textreme carbon faces, aimed at advanced and professional players who want one racket for both attack and control. Shops list it at 360 to 370 g with an EVA core, a matte finish and Vairo's Columns System, which is meant to enlarge the sweet spot.

Every spec we found comes from retailers, and the page titles we saw name it as a 2023 model. We found no scored review, so treat the figures below as the shops' own and check them against the product details on the day you buy.

What the shops say about it

iPon Tennis and Padel Point give matching sheets. Both describe a hybrid that blends round and teardrop shapes, a medium weight of 360 to 370 g, an intermediate balance and an EVA rubber core said to damp vibration. The faces are 24K Textreme carbon, rigid and hard-wearing, and the tubular frame is mixed, half carbon and half fibreglass. The finish is matte.

Neither page gives the racket's dimensions or a season. A Padel Nuestro listing title and a Decathlon marketplace page both call it a 2023 model, and that's the only year evidence we have. Hardness is the other gap: one Dutch comparison site notes a medium hardness, but the retailers don't state one.

The Columns System, and what it does not tell you

Padel Point quotes the Columns System as technology that expands the sweet spot to increase control on every shot. That is Vairo's claim about its own design, and we haven't seen anyone measure it. A hybrid head already puts the sweet spot between a round racket's centre and a teardrop's higher one, so the useful reading is a forgiving hybrid, not a miracle.

Some shops also mention anti-vibration extras. We could only confirm the Columns System and the EVA core on the pages we read, so we leave the rest out. With no scored review to lean on, how it feels at the net is for your own court time to settle.

Columns Ultra or Black Karbon Confort

The closest comparison in our range is the Vairo Black Karbon Confort, another medium-balance hybrid for advanced players. The headline difference is the face: 24K carbon here against 18K there, and a matte finish against a rough, glossy one. Weight bands overlap almost entirely, so the choice comes down to how you like a face to feel, and a higher K number is no guarantee of a better racket.

If you'd rather have a diamond with the weight pushed towards the head, look at the Vairo Everlast Speed instead. Players who want a control hybrid from another brand could try Joma's Slam Pro Iconic.

Not for you if

You're still building your technique, or you want a spec you can verify from the maker. Vairo's own page wasn't among our sources, shops rate it advanced to professional, and we couldn't confirm a season for our listing.

Two Vairo hybrids, one step apart. Same hybrid shape and balance. The Ultra has the higher-K face and a matte finish. iPon Tennis and Padel Point (Ultra); Padel Nuestro and RacketGuide (Black Karbon Confort). Read 2 November 2026.

Who it suits

Experienced club players who like a firm carbon face and a racket that's balanced rather than head-heavy. You'll find it with the other advanced padel rackets and among the teardrop and hybrid rackets. If you're comparing by material, our carbon padel rackets page is the wider list, and the main padel racket range covers every level.

Looking after it

Carbon faces chip at the frame first, so fit a racket protector on day one and swap the overgrip from padel grips when it goes slick. Fresh padel balls and decent padel shoes will do more for your game than any spec, and a padel bag with a racket compartment keeps the finish clean.

Vairo Columns Ultra Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Vairo Columns Ultra a hybrid racket?

Yes. iPon Tennis and Padel Point both describe a hybrid that blends round and teardrop shapes, with a medium balance.

What does 24K carbon mean on the Vairo Columns Ultra?

It is the carbon weave grade on the faces. Vairo uses Textreme carbon, and shops describe it as rigid and resistant. A higher number is a marketing grade, not a measured stiffness.

Is the Vairo Columns Ultra better than the Black Karbon Confort?

Not necessarily. The Ultra has 24K faces and a matte finish, the Black Karbon Confort has 18K and a rough one, and both are medium-balance hybrids for advanced players.

How long will the Vairo Columns Ultra last?

Shops call the EVA core durable, but a carbon face is mostly killed by frame knocks and heat. A protector and a bag out of a hot car boot add far more life than the spec.

Which season is the Vairo Columns Ultra?

The listings we found name it as a 2023 model. Our own listing carries no season, so check the details before relying on a year.
