The adidas Arrow Hit Carbon Ctrl is a 2026 control racket for intermediate and advanced players who want a firm, reactive carbon face without giving up a generous sweet spot. The licensee lists it as round with an even balance, 360 to 375 g, an ASC carbon face and an EVA Soft Performance core.

Padelful scores it 8.2 overall, with a sweet spot of 8.9 and handling at 8.6. Power is the low number at 6.8. One catch: Padelful lists the shape as a diamond, while the licensee and our listing say round. We go with round.

Arrow Hit Carbon Ctrl review: steady, with an edge

Padelful's testers describe stable, predictable contact and a generous sweet spot, with sharp volleys and bandejas. One reviewer cited by Padelful, Padelvo, calls it a control racket with an attacking edge. The licensee describes a firm, reactive feel from the ASC face, with reinforcement around the frame to resist twisting.

The catch is power. At 6.8 it sits well below the rest of the sheet, and Padelful lists limited easy finishing power and no free depth when you are defending. It needs a clean preparation. You build the point, then you put it away yourself.

It suits tactical players moving between defence and finishing, which is a kind way of saying it is for someone who thinks about the next shot before the last one lands.

Built to be steady rather than loud. Overall 8.2. A forgiving sweet spot, not much free power. Padelful, Arrow Hit Carbon CTRL 2026 (scale starts at 6).

Carbon Ctrl or Arrow Hit Ctrl?

The two share a family and a weight band. On Padelful's numbers the Arrow Hit Ctrl leads on sweet spot, rebound, control and power and ties on handling, so the Carbon Ctrl is not simply the better, dearer cousin. It is the one with the firmer ASC face and the licensee's push towards advanced players.

The Carbon Ctrl suits a player who likes a stiffer response and has the technique to use it. If you want the safest route for an intermediate, the standard Ctrl scores higher almost across the board.

Who should skip it

Players who want pace for free, defenders who rely on the racket to supply depth, and beginners. The licensee lists it at pro level and the power score is the lowest on the sheet. A beginner is better served by the beginner padel racket picks, and a hitter by the advanced padel rackets. The diamond Arrow Hit shares the family and adds power. Its diamond cousin, the Arrow Hit Carbon, is the other carbon option. For a tunable diamond with an even balance, see the Arrow Hit Pro Edition.

Not for you if

You want the racket to do the work on smashes, or you defend from deep. Padelful lists limited easy finishing power and no free depth.

Setting up a firm control racket

Fit a racket protector and an adidas overgrip. The longer grip is part of the design, so check the padel grips page if you want to tune the feel. adidas Speed RX balls and the padel balls guide cover the rest, and padel shoes matter more than a fifth racket.

More round rackets sit on the control padel rackets page, the intermediate padel rackets page covers the middle of the range, our guide to choosing a padel racket explains the trade-offs, and the full padel racket range covers the rest.

adidas Arrow Hit Carbon Ctrl 2026 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Arrow Hit Carbon Ctrl the same as the Arrow Hit Ctrl?

No. They share the family, the weight band and the core, but the Carbon Ctrl carries a firmer ASC carbon face and Padelful scores it lower overall, 8.2 against 8.6.

Is the Arrow Hit Carbon Ctrl round or diamond?

The adidas licensee and our listing say round. Padelful lists it as a diamond, which conflicts with the licensee sheet. We treat it as round.

Is the Arrow Hit Carbon Ctrl good for intermediate players?

Padelful says it suits intermediates who play at a medium pace and mix defence with finishing, though the standard Ctrl is the more forgiving pick.

What does ASC mean on the Arrow Hit?

Our sources list the face as ASC without defining it. Our own spec notes expand it as Advanced Softness Carbon, but the licensee page for this racket does not define it.

How heavy is the adidas Arrow Hit Carbon Ctrl?

Listed at 360 to 375 g. The licensee lists the balance as even, with a longer grip said to add inertia.

How long should a control racket last?

A season or two of regular play before the response dulls. A protector on the frame and keeping it out of heat will get you the most from it.
