adidas Cross It Ctrl 2026 Padel Racket

£199.99

The adidas Cross It Ctrl is a round control racket for advanced players who want stability and a big sweet spot without a soft, spongy feel. It pairs a 15K aluminised carbon face with a High Memory EVA core, lists at 360 to 375 g and carries a medium balance.

Padelful scores it 8.6 overall. Control is 9.2, manoeuvrability 9.1 and the sweet spot 9.0, all excellent. Power is 7.5, and its reviewers say it loses crispness at high pace, so this is a racket for building points, not for ending them.

adidas Cross It Ctrl review: firm, forgiving and hard to rattle

Padelful describes a control racket with a firm personality. The numbers back it: control 9.2, manoeuvrability 9.1, sweet spot 9.0. Testers praise a forgiving, generous sweet spot, calm and stable defensive blocks and a controlled bandeja and víbora. One review says it helps you build points safely, another that it feels more disciplined than brutal.

The High Memory core is the difference from the softer adidas control rackets. It gives the racket a medium-hard feel and a bit more depth on blocks, and it is also why the racket loses crispness when the ball comes in fast. Limited explosive smash power and an unremarkable net game are the weaknesses reviewers list.

In short: it is a racket that will keep you in the point, and it will not win the point for you.

Bar chart of Padelful ratings for the adidas Cross It Ctrl 2026: control 9.2, manoeuvrability 9.1, sweet spot 9.0, rebound 8.4, power 7.5

Cross It Ctrl, Arrow Hit Ctrl or Metalbone Ctrl?

adidas makes several round control rackets for advanced players, and the Cross It Ctrl handles best. The Arrow Hit Ctrl has a slightly bigger sweet spot and better rebound, at 9.2 and 9.0 against 9.0 and 8.4. Its sibling, the Arrow Hit Carbon Ctrl, has a firmer face and scores lower on power. The Metalbone Ctrl is the lighter, livelier one with more power, but its manoeuvrability is 7.9 against 9.1.

So: Cross It Ctrl for hands and control, Arrow Hit Ctrl for the largest margin for error, Metalbone Ctrl for the most pop.

Where the Ctrl sits in the Cross It range

The Cross It line is mostly round. Below the Ctrl, the Cross It Carbon Ctrl uses a 6K face and the fibreglass Team Ctrl is the beginner-friendly one. Above and sideways, the Cross It Light swaps to a 24K face and a lighter frame, and the Cross It Carbon is the diamond. Last season's Cross It 3.4 is a different animal, a high-balance diamond, and the 2026 diamond is the Cross It Carbon. The Light also comes as a limited Cross It Light Pro Edition.

Padelful does not explain the naming beyond calling the Ctrl a version within the Cross It line, so we do not either.

Who should skip the Cross It Ctrl

Anyone who wants raw smash power, a soft touch or a racket that adds pace for them. It is also a premium-priced racket for control alone. For power, look at the diamond padel rackets.

Not for you if

You finish with a smash, you want a soft cushioned feel, or you want the most forgiving sweet spot available. The Arrow Hit Ctrl is bigger, and a diamond has more punch.

Setting up a Cross It Ctrl

Start with a racket protector. A medium-hard racket rewards a dry handle, so try the adidas overgrip pack and browse the padel grips page. Fresh adidas Speed RX balls keep the response honest, and our padel balls page covers lifespan.

Carry it in a padel bag and play in padel shoes. Other brands' round rackets sit on the control padel rackets page, the top end is on advanced padel rackets and the carbon padel rackets page explains the faces. Our guide to choosing a padel racket explains shape, and the full padel racket range covers the rest.
