Cross It Carbon Ctrl review: quick, comfortable and light on free power

Padelful's page, which draws on Pádel Review, PadelScout and Racketguide, describes a centred sweet spot with a stable response, clean placement at the net and a comfortable feel on contact. PadelScout calls it control-first with a medium balance, and Racketguide notes a firm, consistent carbon response paired with a comfortable core.

The round shape keeps it very manoeuvrable, which the 8.9 score confirms, and rebound at 9.0 means the ball leaves the face with life. The trade-off is power. At 7.0 it is the lowest number on the sheet, Padelful lists limited free power on smashes and says it is less explosive when the rally speeds up.

In short, it is a racket for a player who places the ball and wins with repeatability, not one who counts on the racket to end a rally.

Bar chart of Padelful ratings for the adidas Cross It Carbon Ctrl 2026: rebound 9.0, manoeuvrability 8.9, sweet spot 8.3, control 8.0, power 7.0

Carbon Ctrl or Cross It Ctrl?

The Cross It Ctrl has a 15K face and, on Padelful's numbers, is the more forgiving racket: control 9.2 against 8.0, sweet spot 9.0 against 8.3, and a little more power. The Carbon Ctrl wins only on rebound, so it is not the cheaper copy of the Ctrl so much as a livelier, firmer-feeling alternative.

If you want the softest and quickest round adidas, the Metalbone Carbon Ctrl scores higher still for rebound and handling. The Cross It Light is the lighter option. Players who want something softer and cheaper to start with can look at the fibreglass Cross It Team Ctrl. For the diamond with the same 6K face, see the Cross It Carbon Maxi Arce 2025.

Who should skip the Carbon Ctrl

Anyone who wants the racket to supply pace, and anyone who needs the most forgiving sweet spot in the range. Padelful says you must provide the swing speed, and the sweet spot scores a good but not outstanding 8.3. For power look at the advanced padel rackets; for forgiveness, the intermediate padel rackets.

Not for you if

You want free power on smashes or the largest possible sweet spot. Padelful lists limited free power and a racket that needs you to supply swing speed.

adidas Cross It Carbon Ctrl Padel Racket 2026: questions people ask

Is the Cross It Carbon Ctrl the same as the Cross It Carbon?

No. The Carbon is a high-balance diamond for attackers. The Carbon Ctrl is round with a medium balance and a control-first character.

Is the Cross It Carbon Ctrl the same as the Cross It Ctrl?

No. Same family and round shape, but the Ctrl has a 15K face and the Carbon Ctrl a 6K one. Padelful scores the Ctrl higher for control and sweet spot.

Is the 2026 Cross It Carbon Ctrl the same racket as the 2025 one?

Not necessarily. adidas also sold a Cross It Carbon Ctrl 3.4 in 2025, listed separately by retailers. Check the year before you compare reviews.

Is the Cross It Carbon Ctrl good for intermediate players?

Padelful says it suits advanced players who want carbon feedback. A strong intermediate can use it, but the Cross It Ctrl is more forgiving.

How heavy is the adidas Cross It Carbon Ctrl?

Listed at 360 to 375 g, though the round head and medium balance make it handle quicker than that sounds.

How long does a carbon padel racket last?

It depends on how hard and how often you play. Protect the frame, keep it out of heat and replace it when the face goes dull.
