adidas Cross It Light Padel Racket 2026

£192.50

The adidas Cross It Light padel racket is a light, round control racket for advanced players who live in transitions: 345 to 360 g, a 24K aluminised carbon face over an EVA Soft Energy core, and a balance retailers list as even. The adidas licensee lists it as Martita Ortega's racket.

Padelful scores it 8.5 overall, with rebound at 9.5, manoeuvrability at 9.4 and sweet spot at 8.9. Power is 6.0, the low number, and its reviewers say outright that it helps you construct the point, not flatten it.

adidas Cross It Light review: quick, lively, light on power

A Spanish review summarised on Padelful calls it a light-feeling control racket with far more life than expected from a round model. That fits the numbers: rebound 9.5 is the highest on its sheet, and the quick handling, 9.4, comes from a light frame behind a round head. Testers like the strong ball exit from defence and a forgiving sweet spot.

The cost is finishing. Padelful lists limited top-end smash power and little extra bite on finishes, and the racket is not built for power-first play. If the way you win a point is to hit through the ball, this is the wrong racket. If the way you win is to stay active at the net and make the other pair play one more shot, it is a very good one.

One honest note: the review base is thin. Padelful's own page and a handful of retailer descriptions are the only sources, so we treat the scores as a guide.

Cross It Light or Cross It Ctrl?

The Cross It Ctrl is the heavier, firmer round racket, 360 to 375 g with a 15K face and a High Memory core. On Padelful's numbers it has more power, 7.5 against 6.0, and better control, 9.2 against 8.5. The Light has the livelier ball exit, 9.5 against 8.4, and handles a touch faster. If you want the family's power instead, last season's Cross It 3.4 is a high-balance diamond. The 6K-faced Cross It Carbon is the current diamond.

Choose the Ctrl if you want a calm, stable racket for long points and you have the arm for 360 g or more. Choose the Light if you are lighter, quicker or return from an injury, or if your own game is about transitions and counter-attack.

How it compares with the other light adidas rackets

adidas makes several rackets in the same 345 to 360 g band. The Metalbone Ctrl is the nearest, with a 16K face and a bit more power. The Metalbone Team Light and the Cross It Team Light are fibreglass-faced and far softer. The limited Cross It Light Pro Edition is a separate listing.

The Cross It Light is the only one in this group with a 24K carbon face, which adidas describes as stiff and durable, so it is the one that feels most like a carbon racket. From another brand, last season's Dunlop Galactica Lite is a similar idea: a light hybrid with a 16K carbon face and soft core.

Who should skip the Cross It Light

Anyone who wins points with a smash, anyone who wants a racket that adds power, and anyone who is still learning the game; a carbon face is not a first racket. Our beginner padel rackets page starts further down.

Not for you if

You finish with big overheads, you want a stable heavy racket, or you cannot confirm the balance before you buy: no millimetre figure is published, and retailers say only that it is even.

Setting up a Cross It Light

Fit a racket protector first. A quick, light racket rewards a good grip, so try the adidas overgrip pack or browse the padel grips page. Fresh adidas Speed RX balls help you judge a lively face, and our padel balls guide says how long they last.

Carry it in a padel bag and wear padel shoes built for sand-filled turf. See other round rackets on the control padel rackets page and the top of the range on advanced padel rackets. Our guide to choosing a padel racket explains shape, and the padel racket range covers the rest.

adidas Cross It Light Padel Racket 2026: questions people ask

Is the adidas Cross It Light the same as the Cross It Lite?

Yes. Some shops spell it Lite. It is the same round 24K racket, and the Pro Edition is a separate limited listing.

Is the Cross It Light good for intermediate players?

Shops split between advanced and intermediate to advanced. The carbon face is lively and the racket is light, so an intermediate with good timing will enjoy it, but a soft first carbon racket is easier.

What is the difference between the Cross It Light and the Cross It Ctrl?

Weight, face and core. The Light is 345 to 360 g with a 24K face and a Soft Energy core; the Ctrl is 360 to 375 g with a 15K face and a High Memory core.

How heavy is the adidas Cross It Light?

Listed at 345 to 360 g. The licensee sheet also prints a 0 to 11.2 g weight system on the range, but we could not confirm it for this racket.

Does the Cross It Light have much power?

No. Padelful scores power at 6.0 and reviewers mention limited smash power and little extra bite. It is a control racket.

How long does a 24K carbon face last?

adidas describes the 24K face as stiff and durable. Heat and glass impacts do most of the damage, so use a protector and keep it out of hot cars.
