adidas Cross It 3.4 Padel Racket (2025)

£237.99

The adidas Cross It 3.4 is the 2025 edition of the Cross It, and it is a diamond: high balance, 15K aluminised carbon faces, an EVA High Memory core and a listed weight of 360 to 375 g. It is built for advanced, attacking players who finish at the net.

That matters because the rest of the current Cross It range is round. Anyone searching for a control racket and landing here should read the next section first. Padelful scores the 3.4 at 8.7 overall, with power at 9.7, though that rests on very few reviews.

Cross It 3.4 review: all about the smash

Padelful's review is simple. Power scores 9.7, the top of the sheet, and control sits at 9.1, helped by the textured faces and the slightly extended grip that lets you open sharp angles on smashes. Volleys and overheads are where this racket earns its keep.

The weak points are in the handling. Manoeuvrability is 8.5, rebound 8.0 and the sweet spot 8.1, and the page warns that the high balance asks for a firm grip and that defence needs some adjustment. It is a racket for a player who wants to hit down, not one who scrambles at the back.

One caution about the numbers. Padelful's 8.7 is based on a very small number of reviews, and a user-review site we checked had one player calling it too stiff. Treat the scores as a guide, not a verdict.

Cross It 3.4 or a round Cross It?

Do not mix this up with the round Cross It rackets. The Cross It Ctrl is a round racket with a firm but forgiving feel, a bigger sweet spot and far less power, and the Cross It Light takes the same family towards a lighter swing.

The comparison below shows the trade. The 3.4 gives up about a point on sweet spot and a little on manoeuvrability, and gains two full points of power. For the other 2026 diamond in the family, see the Cross It Carbon. Last season's signature edition is the Cross It Carbon Maxi Arce 2025. If you want pace, that is a fair deal. If you want to be forgiven, it is not.

Who should skip the Cross It 3.4

Beginners, defenders, and anyone whose arm complains. A high-balance diamond loads the elbow, and a medium-hard feel gives little back on miss-hits. If you are still developing, the beginner padel racket page and the softer Metalbone Team are kinder.

Not for you if

You want a forgiving racket, you defend more than you attack, or you have elbow trouble. The 3.4 is a power diamond with a high balance.

Setting up a diamond racket

Fit a racket protector and an adidas overgrip; more choice is on the padel grips page. adidas Speed RX balls and the padel balls guide cover the rest, and good padel shoes matter when you are hitting hard from the net.

Other power rackets are on our diamond padel rackets and advanced padel rackets pages, the guide to choosing a padel racket explains the trade-offs, and the full padel racket range covers the rest.

adidas Cross It 3.4 Padel Racket (2025): questions people ask

Is the adidas Cross It 3.4 round or diamond?

Diamond. Padelful lists it as a diamond with high balance. The Cross It Ctrl, Carbon Ctrl and Light are the round rackets in the family.

Is the Cross It 3.4 the same as the Cross It Ctrl 3.4?

No. The Ctrl 3.4 and Carbon Ctrl 3.4 were separate 2025 rackets. This is the plain Cross IT 3.4 with 15K faces and a high balance.

Is the Cross It 3.4 good for intermediate players?

Only strong intermediates who already attack. Padelful says it suits advanced, aggressive players. A softer, rounder racket is a safer step.

How does the Cross It 3.4 compare with the 2026 Cross It?

The 2026 Cross It Ctrl is round and controlled, with far less power. The 3.4 is the harder hitter. They are different rackets, not a straight update.

How heavy is the adidas Cross It 3.4?

Listed at 360 to 375 g, with a high balance that makes the head feel heavier than that.

How long does a carbon padel racket face last?

Heavy players tend to notice the face losing life after a season or two. Protect the frame and avoid heat to get the most from it.
