adidas Arrow Hit Ctrl 2026 Padel Racket

£244.47

The adidas Arrow Hit Ctrl is the round, control-first version of adidas's newest racket family: a 360 to 375 g racket with an ASC carbon face over an EVA Soft Performance core and a medium balance. It is for intermediate and advanced players who build points patiently from defence and want a racket that stays calm under pressure.

Padelful scores it 8.6 overall, with a sweet spot of 9.2, rebound of 9.0 and control of 8.9. Power is 7.5. This is a racket that will not bully the point, and its reviewer says as much: it will not do the work for you.

adidas Arrow Hit Ctrl review: calm, forgiving, light on finish

Padelful describes a control-first racket with a very calm, reassuring personality. The sweet spot is the headline: 9.2 is the highest on any adidas we have numbers for, and testers praise stable blocks, resets and defensive shots, with a comfortable and lively ball exit. The kind of player who does well with it plays a long game: lobs, deep resets and slowly closing the net.

What it does not do is end points for you. Reviewers note limited finishing power and a less explosive net game, and that you need clean mechanics to attack well. Padelful's own line is that it will not do the work for you. A round racket with an even balance rarely does.

One quirk. The Padelful page lists the frame as carbon in its summary and as fibreglass in its text, so we would not lean on frame material. Everyone agrees on the ASC face and the soft core.

Arrow Hit Ctrl, Metalbone Ctrl or Carbon Ctrl?

adidas now sells three round control rackets at the advanced end. The Metalbone Ctrl has a 16K face and a lighter frame, and gives more power. The Metalbone Carbon Ctrl has a 6K face and the quickest hands. The Arrow Hit Ctrl is the one with the bigger sweet spot and the best control of the three, on Padelful's numbers.

The firmer Cross It Ctrl is a fourth option, with quicker hands. In short: pick the Arrow Hit Ctrl if your problem is consistency, the Metalbone Ctrl if your problem is finishing, and the Carbon Ctrl if you want to move fast and soft. Players who want power rather than control should look at the diamond Cross It 3.4.

The Arrow Hit family at a glance

The Arrow Hit is adidas's 2026 family and it comes in two shapes. The Arrow Hit and Arrow Hit Carbon are head-heavy diamonds; the Ctrl and the Carbon Ctrl are round with a medium balance. The family is built around an adjustable balance system, per the licensee's notes, though our sources do not spell out how it works on the Ctrl, so check the box before you plan to change anything.

Shop labels vary. UK retailers also list the diamond as the Arrow Hit ATTK, short for Attack, which is the same racket as the plain Arrow Hit.

Who should skip the Arrow Hit Ctrl

Players who want an easy finisher (the less documented Neuvortx is a round alternative), who live on the smash, or who want a lighter, quicker racket. At 360 to 375 g the Ctrl is a standard-weight adult racket, and the control-first character gives little back on overheads. If you want to attack, a diamond is the better tool: see our diamond padel rackets.

Not for you if

You want a racket that adds power for you, you finish most points with a smash, or you want the lightest handling. The Metalbone Ctrl or a diamond will suit you better.

Setting up an Arrow Hit Ctrl

Fit a racket protector first. The adidas overgrip pack suits a calm, steady hand, and the padel grips page has others. Fresh adidas Speed RX balls help you judge a control racket, and our padel balls page covers how long they last.

adidas makes a matching Control racket bag, and the padel bags page has the rest; add padel shoes built for sand-filled turf. Round rackets from other brands are on the control padel rackets page, the top of the range is on advanced padel rackets, and the carbon padel rackets page explains the faces.
