Babolat Syntec Pro Replacement Grip (Fluro)

£5.99

The Babolat Syntec Pro replacement grip Fluro is the black and fluo colourway of Babolat's thinner base grip, for players who want a slimmer handle with some colour. Every listing that gives measurements for the Syntec Pro says 1.9 mm thick and 110 cm long, and the Fluro is generally described as the same grip.

No Fluro listing gives its own thickness or length, so we say that figure comes from the other colours.

Slimmer than the Evo

The Syntec Pro is the thinner of Babolat's two main Syntec base grips. At 1.9 mm it sits about 0.2 mm below the Syntec Evo, and some listings say it is 10 per cent thinner than the older Syntec. That makes it the choice for players who like a slimmer, firmer handle.

The Fluro adds a bright accent to what is otherwise a standard grip. It does not change the construction, and the main Syntec Pro covers the grip in depth.

Padel handles

One UK retailer files the Syntec Pro under its padel grips, but Babolat does not claim padel fit that we could find, so check your handle size. A thin base is easy to follow with an overgrip, and the cushioned white Evo X1 is the thicker alternative. A My Overgrip on top suits either, and the padel grips page explains how the layers add up.

Who should skip it

Players who want cushioning, who should look at the Evo, and anyone who wants a quiet handle, since a fluo accent shows. The padel accessories range has plainer options.

Not for you if

You want a published Fluro-specific size. Thickness and length are stated only for the other colours.
