Enebe Astra Padel Racket (2026)

£59.70

The Enebe Astra padel racket is a soft, forgiving control racket for beginners and early improvers: fibreglass faces over a soft EVA core on a carbon frame, listed at 355 to 370 g with a medium-soft feel. Enebe is a Spanish brand, and this is its easy-going option for 2026.

Padelful scores it 6.3 overall, with rebound at 7.5 and power at 5.0. The reviewer praises low vibration and a generous sweet spot, and says it lacks power on overheads. Shape is round on Padelful and tear on one retailer.

Astra review: comfortable and easy, with little to hit through the court

Padelful's ratings are rebound 7.5, control 7.0, manoeuvrability 6.1, sweet spot 6.1 and power 5.0, for 6.3 overall. The pros read like a first-racket checklist: low-vibration comfort, a forgiving sweet spot, easy defence and easy ball output. The cons are limited power on overheads, a need for technique in fast exchanges and volleys that lack crisp bite.

None of that is a flaw for a beginner. A soft core and fibreglass faces are kind to the arm and let you keep the ball in play while you learn. The trade is that you will feel the ceiling within a season, especially on smashes.

Round or teardrop? What the sources say

Padelful says round, with a manageable balance and no figure. Zona de Padel lists a tear shape at 360 to 370 g and a 38 mm profile, and aims it at beginner and intermediate players. It also labels the year 2025, which conflicts with our 2026. A junior Astra exists separately and has its own specs, so ignore any junior numbers you see.

For a first racket the shape matters less than the core, so go on the soft EVA and fibreglass, which every source agrees on. If you want a sharper step up from the same brand, the Enebe Genius Red is far handier. The Enebe Point Light is a lighter-listed sibling with lower scores, and the Enebe Response Pink is the better-scored soft option. Avoid the Suburban Silver 3K as a first racket, whatever a retailer says about beginners. If you want something similar from another brand, compare the Black Crown Viva and the Black Crown Win Ultralight.

Table comparing Padelful and Zona de Padel on the Enebe Astra 2026: shape, weight, face, core, feel and level

Who should skip the Astra

A step up in carbon control is the Royal Padel M27 Light. Players who want to attack, intermediates with a developing smash and anyone who needs a settled shape before buying. Power is the lowest score and the volleys lack bite. Stronger players can compare options on our intermediate padel rackets page, and bargain hunters will find alternatives on the cheap padel racket page.

Not for you if

You want power, you play at intermediate level or above or you need an agreed shape and balance. Power scores 5.0 on Padelful and sources split on round or tear.

Setting up an Astra

Add a racket protector and a fresh overgrip from the padel grips range. Proper padel balls and good padel shoes do more for a beginner than any racket upgrade, and a padel bag keeps the racket safe.

Enebe Astra Padel Racket (2026): questions people ask

Is the Enebe Astra the same as the Astra Junior?

No. The Astra Junior is a separate kids racket with its own specs. This page covers the adult Astra.

Is the Enebe Astra a good beginner padel racket?

Yes. Padelful praises its comfort, low vibration and forgiving sweet spot, and a retailer lists it for beginners and intermediates.

Is the Enebe Astra round or teardrop?

Padelful says round and Zona de Padel says tear. Neither publishes a balance point in millimetres.

Does the Enebe Astra have good power?

No. Power is its lowest Padelful score at 5.0, and the review lists limited power on overheads.

How heavy is the Enebe Astra?

Padelful gives 355 to 370 g and Zona de Padel gives 360 to 370 g. Pick by feel in hand.

Is the Enebe Astra made of carbon?

Only the frame. The faces are fibreglass and the core is soft EVA, which is why it is soft and affordable.
