Hirostar Solar Padel Racket

£194.99

The Hirostar Solar padel racket is a round-headed control racket for amateur and intermediate players: a 12K carbon face with a rough texture, a carbon frame 38 mm thick and an EVA Black core, with a listed weight of 360 to 375 g. Hirostar sells it in its Precision line and calls it a control racket.

Racketguide weighed and measured a 2025 sample at 361 g with the balance point at 26.1 cm, which is medium, not the low the maker states. It is the one Hirostar racket here with a measured sample, so the page compares both sets of figures.

What Hirostar says and what was measured

The maker's figures are a round shape, a low balance, a 12K carbon face, a carbon frame and an EVA Black Soft core on the 2025 model, with 485 cm2 in the head and a length of 45.5 cm. Stockists add a matte sandblasted surface and a protector built into the head. The 2025 version also carries Hirostar's Smart Holes pattern.

Racketguide measured one 2025 sample and got a different picture in places: 361 g, a balance point of 26.1 cm from the bottom (rated medium), a 37 mm thickness, 45.7 cm in length and a core it rated quite hard. A single sample is a single sample, and cores vary, but the gap between low balance on paper and medium on the scale is worth knowing about.

Solar 2025 or Solar 26?

Retailers list Solar rackets labelled 2024, 2025 and 2026, and the 2024 and 2025 listings describe the same racket. Hirostar's own page for the 2026 Solar 26 gives 365 to 380 g and an EVA Black Mid core, a little heavier and firmer than the 2025 figures. Our listing carries no year, so compare what arrives with both sets.

Within the range, the Hirostar Alien Core is a diamond at the same weight band, and the Hirostar Andromeda is a lighter, softer teardrop. The Solar is the round, controlled choice.

Who should skip the Solar

If you want a softer, lighter round racket, the Royal Padel M27 Light is the one to compare. Players who want power. Racketguide's amateur reviewer, a 42-year-old, called it excellent but lacking a bit of power, and a round, 12K racket is built for placement and defence. If you want to finish points from the back, look at the diamond padel racket page. If you are just starting, the beginner padel rackets page has softer options, and our control padel racket page compares the round field.

Not for you if

You want power from the back court, or you need the 2026 spec and cannot confirm the season. Weight and core differ between the 2025 and 2026 listings.

Setting up a Solar

The Solar has a head protector built in, but a racket protector still saves the frame from glass scrapes. Add an overgrip from the padel grips range, fresh padel balls and decent padel shoes. A padel bag with a thermal pocket protects the face.

Hirostar Solar Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Hirostar Solar the same as the Solar 26?

Not exactly. Solar 26 is the 2026 version, listed at 365 to 380 g with an EVA Black Mid core. The 2024 and 2025 listings describe the earlier racket at 360 to 375 g.

Is the Hirostar Solar round or diamond?

Round. Hirostar and every stockist we found list it as a round control racket.

Is the Hirostar Solar low balance?

Hirostar says low. Racketguide measured a 2025 sample at 26.1 cm, which it rated medium, so expect it to feel closer to neutral than head-light.

Is the Hirostar Solar good for beginners?

It is aimed at amateur and intermediate players. A round shape is forgiving, but the 12K face and firmer core make it more demanding than a fibreglass starter.

How heavy is the Hirostar Solar?

The 2025 model is listed at 360 to 375 g, and Racketguide measured 361 g. The 2026 model is listed at 365 to 380 g.

How does the Hirostar Solar compare with the Alien Core?

Both sit in the same weight band, but the Solar is round and defensive while the Alien Core is a diamond for attacking.
