Joma Valkiria Pro SFT Padel Racket 2026

£143.99

The Joma Valkiria Pro SFT padel racket is the softer-cored version of Joma's top round racket: 12K carbon, 350 to 360 g, a 50/50 control and power split, and a Flexo Black EVA core Joma lists as medium-hard. It's for strong players who want control and precision, and a little more comfort than the HRD gives.

Joma rates it for a high, professional level, and Tennis Nuts for intermediate to advanced. Both agree it's an all-court racket for building points rather than finishing them.

What Joma lists

Joma's page lists a rounded shape, 350 to 360 g and a high, professional range. The core is Flexo Black EVA with a medium-hard feel, filled with 100% EVA. The frame is Dualtech, a high-strength 12k carbon structure filled with high-density Black EVA SFT. The tubular section is 100% carbon and the flat section is 66.67% fibreglass and 33.33% 12K carbon, with Joma 3D Spin relief on the face.

Joma gives a 50% control, 50% power split and names Aerobump Tech, CTRL Touch, Carbon 12K and Flexo BlackEVA alongside Dualtech and 3D Spin. CTRL Touch is a perforation pattern that redistributes weight and face flex, and Joma says the hole pattern raises the balance, without giving a rating. Tennis Nuts fills the gap, with a medium, even balance and a 38 mm profile.

SFT or HRD?

The Valkiria Pro comes in two cores. The Valkiria Pro Hard is the firm one at 360 to 370 g with Attack Touch perforations. The SFT is a few grams lighter at 350 to 360 g, has the softer core and uses CTRL Touch. Both are 50/50 and both are 12K carbon.

Tennis Nuts calls the SFT's core soft and lists a hybrid head, where Joma calls the head round and the core medium-hard. That's a difference of labelling more than of build. Treat 'soft' as soft by the standards of a competition racket.

Not for you if

You want a diamond's overhead power or a very light racket. A round racket at 350 to 360 g with a 50/50 split is for placing the ball, and an attacking player will want something with more head weight.

Comparison table of the Joma Valkiria Pro SFT and Valkiria Pro HRD: both round with 50 50 control and power, SFT 350 to 360 grams with CTRL Touch and a medium-hard core, HRD 360 to 370 grams with Attack Touch and a hard core

Who it suits

Strong intermediates and advanced players who rely on control, defenders who want comfort over a long evening, and anyone who liked a softer round racket and wants a step up in material. It sits among the control padel racket options and on the advanced padel rackets list. The whole padel racket range is a click away if you want to compare brands.

Looking after it

A racket protector takes the knocks a carbon frame would otherwise take, and a fresh overgrip from padel grips keeps the handle tacky. Keep a tube of padel balls for warm-ups, and wear the right padel shoes with a padel bag that has a racket compartment.
