Joma Tournament Pro Iconic Padel Racket 2026

£116

The Joma Tournament Pro Iconic padel racket is a round, 3K carbon racket with a medium balance and a medium-hard core, for players who want consistency from the back of the court: 350 to 360 g by Joma's figures, and the only racket in Joma's 2026 line with an even 50/50 split of control and power.

That makes it the sensible one for an improving all-court player. It forgives, it places the ball well, and it won't win you points with the smash on its own, which is what its reviewers say too.

What Joma lists

Joma's page lists a rounded shape, 350 to 360 g, a medium balance, a 3k carbon side, a Flexo Black EVA core with a medium-hard feel and a 50% control, 50% power split. The technologies are Aerobump Tech grooves, Carbon 3K, Flexo BlackEVA and Joma 3D Spin, a relief texture for topspin and slice. Joma calls it a round-shaped competition racket with a medium balance between defence and attack, and gives it a high, professional range.

PadelVerdict puts the balance at about 260 mm, the profile at 38 mm and the frame at 100% 3K carbon tubular, and rates it intermediate to advanced. It also flags that the declared weight is uncertain, with sources quoting 350 to 360 g and 355 to 365 g, so allow a few grams either way.

How it plays, according to one careful review

PadelVerdict scores it at 7.9 for sweet spot, 7.8 for control and 7.6 for manoeuvrability, with power the lowest at 6.8. It describes an all-court racket that refuses to specialise: generous and forgiving, good at direction, better at spin than a typical round frame. Its warning is that comfort is only functional, so players with an arm that complains should be cautious.

That's one reviewer, and the scores are theirs. They do agree with Joma's own 50/50 split and with the shape. Round, medium balance, mid-pace: it's a racket for building points.

Not for you if

You finish points with the smash, or you want a plush, cushioned feel. Power is its lowest score and comfort is described as only functional, so an attacking player or someone with a sensitive arm should look elsewhere.

Sweet spot and control up, power down. A forgiving, controlling racket whose honest ceiling is power. One review, not a lab test. Scores out of 10 from the PadelVerdict review of the Joma Tournament Pro Iconic 2026. Bars drawn to a 10-point scale.

Who it suits

An intermediate all-court player, a defender who prizes consistency, or anyone moving from a first racket who wants a firmer, more precise round frame. Our control padel racket page covers the whole round-shaped group, and the intermediate padel racket list shows where this one fits. For everything else, start at padel racket.

Looking after it

A racket protector saves the frame from wall scrapes, a fresh overgrip from padel grips keeps the handle tacky, and a lively tube of padel balls suits a medium-hard core. Add padel shoes with a proper sole and a padel bag with a racket compartment to finish the kit.
