Joma Valkiria Flex Padel Racket 2026

£87.99

The Joma Valkiria Flex padel racket is a round, soft-cored racket for improving players who want comfort and a big sweet spot: 350 to 360 g, a 100% carbon EXO Counter frame, a Flexo Black EVA core Joma calls soft, and a face that mixes fibreglass and carbon. It's the most approachable racket in Joma's Valkiria line.

It comes in black and pink, and in blue and white. The one number sources can't agree on is the balance. Joma says high, one shop's spec table says low, and that matters for how it feels.

What Joma lists

Joma's page describes a rounded shape at 350 to 360 g, a mid to high range and a medium-advanced player who wants precision and consistency, with a larger sweet spot and durability under heavy use. The frame is 100% carbon in Joma's EXO Counter construction, which uses a low-density foam reinforcement to improve response on power shots and cut vibration. The tubular section is 100% carbon, and the flat section is 75% fibreglass and 25% carbon, filled with 100% EVA.

The core is Flexo Black EVA, which Joma's page calls a soft core and lists as high recovery with a medium-hard feel. Those two descriptions sit awkwardly together, so read it as soft by Joma's standards and firmer than a beginner racket. Flexshield Graphite, a carbon compound mixed with fibreglass, adds flexibility. Joma gives no control and power percentages for this one.

Low, medium or high balance?

A round racket is normally low or medium. Tennis Nuts' own page says low balance in its spec table and high balance in its description, a retailer summary says medium, and Joma's page says high. We'd go with Joma's figure and treat the racket as a round shape with more weight towards the head than most rounds.

In practice that means a little more punch on the volley than a head-light round racket gives, and a bit more work from the arm. If you want the gentlest possible racket, the lower-balance ones will be kinder.

Not for you if

You're brand new to padel and want the lightest, simplest first racket, or you want a diamond's smash power. A mid-to-high range carbon racket asks a bit more of a beginner, and a round shape gives up some reach and pace overhead.

Who it suits

Improving players, intermediate women who want a forgiving racket with some bite, and anyone whose elbow dislikes a firm core. Tennis Nuts files it under its elbow-protection rackets. The control padel racket page covers the shape, and the intermediate padel racket list shows where this one sits. The wider padel racket range is a click away if you want to compare brands.

Don't confuse it with the Valkiria Flex 2.0, which is code 401583 and a lower-balance racket, and which Joma's own page just calls the Valkiria Flex.

Looking after it

Fit a racket protector to a carbon frame before the first session, change the overgrip from padel grips when the handle goes slick, and carry it in a padel bag with a spare tube of padel balls. Court shoes from padel shoes matter more than the racket for your knees.

Joma Valkiria Flex Padel Racket 2026: questions people ask

Is the Joma Valkiria Flex the same as the Valkiria Flex 2.0?

No. The Flex 2.0 is a separate model, sold under its own name and code. The Flex 2026 here is the 401906.105 black and pink racket.

Is the Joma Valkiria Flex a round racket?

Yes. Joma lists a rounded shape, and every shop agrees. The balance is where they split, with Joma saying high.

How heavy is the Joma Valkiria Flex?

Joma says 350 to 360 g. Tennis Nuts lists 350 g with a 10 g tolerance, so expect 350 to 360 g.

Is the Joma Valkiria Flex good for beginners?

It suits an improving player more than a first-timer. Joma rates it mid to high and describes a medium-advanced player, though a retailer calls it intermediate.

Is the Joma Valkiria Flex good for tennis elbow?

Its soft core and carbon frame are meant to reduce vibration, and Tennis Nuts lists it among elbow-protection rackets. Nothing replaces advice from a physio if you have a real injury.
