Oxdog Boost Plus Padel Balls Tube of 3 (Boost+)

£5.99

The Oxdog Boost Plus padel balls tube, written Boost+ by most shops, holds three balls marketed for extra speed and impact on volleys and overheads, for players who attack at the net. Decathlon's headline is "more speed, more impact", and Padelshop says it was designed with top players and coaches.

Read the small print: retailer pages disagree on whether the core is pressurised, and some list a "Boost+ Speed" that may be a different ball. Check the tube before you rely on either description.

Boost+ against the standard Boost

The standard Oxdog Boost is sold as the reliable all-rounder. The Boost+ is the attacking version: more speed and power, aimed at volleys and overheads. There's no test data behind either description, and Oxdog publishes no felt or core specification we could find.

If you decide you like it, there's a Boost+ dozen. Names are a small mess. Retailers write Boost+, Boost Plus and Boost+ Speed, and the last may be a separate pressurised variant rather than the same ball.

Two cards showing how the Oxdog Boost and Boost+ padel balls are pitched: reliable all-rounder against more speed and impact for volleys and overheads

Who should try a livelier ball

Players who attack: the net, the smash, the víbora. A livelier ball gives those shots more carry. It also makes a defensive game harder, because the ball comes off the glass quicker. If you're still learning, a standard ball such as the Nerbo tube or the Boost is the kinder teacher. Our padel balls page lines up the options.

Pitches from retailer listings; no maker publishes test figures.

Not for you if

You need confirmed FIP approval or a known pressure. We found neither for the Boost+, and listings disagree on the core.

Racket to match

Attackers take a head-heavy racket; see our diamond padel racket page. The Oxdog Ultimate Pro is one of the brand's flagship frames, and the full padel racket range is the place to compare.

Oxdog Boost Plus Padel Balls Tube of 3 (Boost+): questions people ask

Is Oxdog Boost+ the same as Oxdog Boost Plus?

Yes. Shops write it as Boost+ or Boost Plus. A listing called Boost+ Speed may be a separate variant.

Are Oxdog Boost+ balls pressurised?

Listings disagree: one German listing says pressureless, another describes a pressurised core. Check the tube you receive.

What is the difference between Oxdog Boost and Boost+?

Boost is pitched as the all-rounder, Boost+ as the faster, more attacking ball. No test data separates them.

Are Oxdog Boost+ balls good for beginners?

A standard ball is usually a kinder start. The Boost+ is sold for attackers.
