Oxdog Boost Plus Padel Balls Dozen (Boost+)

£20

The Oxdog Boost Plus padel balls dozen is twelve Boost+ balls, the lively version of Oxdog's ball, for attacking players, coaches and teams who want a month's supply of one type. We expect four tubes of three and will confirm the packing when stock arrives.

Before you buy a dozen of anything, settle the pressure. Retailer pages for the Boost+ disagree, one German listing calling the core pressureless and another describing it as pressurised, so a single tube is the safer first purchase if it matters to you.

Pressurised or pressureless? The listings disagree

A Padelshop listing for a Boost+ Speed variant says pressurised, "medium+" speed with a reliable bounce. A German listing for the 24-tube Boost+ says the core is drucklos, meaning without pressure. They may describe two different balls, or one of them may be wrong, and nothing we found from Oxdog settles it.

Why it matters: a pressureless ball keeps its feel for longer but plays differently, and a pressuriser does nothing for it. If you want to be sure, buy a single Boost+ tube first and read the pack.

Is a dozen the right size?

For a coach or a regular foursome, yes. For one player, twelve balls is a lot, particularly of a ball you haven't tried. The standard Oxdog Boost dozen is the all-round alternative, and Nox's Nerbo Speed tube is a lively ball with a clearer track record.

Pitches from retailer listings.

Not for you if

You need to know the pressure or have FIP approval for a league. Neither is confirmed, so start with a tube.

Using them

Attackers get most from a head-heavy racket; our diamond padel racket page covers the shape and Oxdog's own frames such as the Ultimate Pro are worth a look. Keep the dozen in a padel bag, out of a hot car, and compare other packs on the padel balls page.

Oxdog Boost Plus Padel Balls Dozen (Boost+): questions people ask

Are the Oxdog Boost+ balls in the dozen pressurised?

We could not confirm it. One listing says pressureless and another describes a pressurised core; check the tubes when they arrive.

How many balls are in the Oxdog Boost+ dozen?

Twelve, which we expect to be four tubes of three. We will confirm the packing when stock arrives.

Is the Oxdog Boost+ dozen better than the Boost dozen?

Boost+ is sold as the faster ball and the Boost as the all-rounder. Neither has test data behind it.

Do I need a pressuriser for Oxdog Boost+ balls?

Only if the balls are pressurised, which listings disagree on. A pressuriser does nothing for a pressureless ball.
