Oxdog Ultimate Pro 2026 Padel Racket

£275

The Oxdog Ultimate Pro is Oxdog's full-weight attacking diamond for players who finish points at the net: 365 g, a high balance, HES Carbon faces and a Medium+ foam core that keeps a little comfort in a firm racket. It suits strong intermediates and advanced players with an attacking game.

It sits between two siblings. The Ultimate Pro+ is harder and heavier; the Ultimate Pro Light is the same idea at 350 g. Below is how they compare, and why the middle one is the easiest to live with.

  • Diamond, high balance
  • 365 g
  • HES Carbon faces

Oxdog Ultimate Pro vs Ultimate Pro+

On Padelful's 2026 scores the Ultimate Pro+ wins the headline columns, 9.8 for power and 9.4 for control against the Pro's 9.2 and 9.0. What the Pro gives you back is everything that makes a diamond easier: better handling (8.0 against 7.7), more rebound (8.3 against 8.0) and a slightly bigger sweet spot (8.6 against 8.4). It's 5 g lighter too, and the Medium+ foam feels medium-hard rather than hard.

Unless you're a very strong player who wants the firmest possible strike, the Pro is the more sensible diamond. You lose a fraction of punch and gain a racket you can still play well on an off day.

Oxdog Ultimate Pro review: on court

Hit an overhead and you'll see why people buy diamonds. Padelful puts the smash first among its strengths, along with clean bandejas and víboras and stable, lively volleys at the net. The 9.2 power score puts it among the punchier rackets we stock without being brutal to play.

The cost shows up at the back of the court. Defence from low positions is harder work, defensive lobs need a fuller swing, and the sweet spot sits higher and smaller than on a teardrop. Padelful's summary is that it's a racket for players who already build points with intent and like to finish them with pressure. That's a fair line in the sand.

Where the Ultimate Pro sits in the Oxdog Ultimate range

Oxdog's Ultimate family is its diamond line, and the tiers run by weight and foam. The Pro Light is the 350 g entry to the shape, the Tour X a 355 g diamond with medium foam and a medium balance, the Pro the 365 g middle ground, and the Pro+ the 370 g hard-foam flagship. We also carry the soft Ultimate Court and the slim-handled Ultimate Woman Air.

If you like the idea of a diamond but worry it'll be too much, the Pro or the Pro Light are where to start; the Pro+ is for when you know.

Tuning the balance with the handle weight

Like most of Oxdog's range, the Ultimate Pro has a removable 8 g weight in the butt cap of the handle. Leave it in and some mass stays at your hand, which calms the head. Take it out and the racket gets lighter with the balance moving even further towards the tip, which adds power on the smash and asks more of your wrist.

Most players are best leaving it in for the first few weeks. Diamonds already put plenty of weight up top.

Who should buy the Oxdog Ultimate Pro?

Strong intermediates and advanced players who attack, especially from the left side, and who want diamond power without the hardest feel. It's a good first diamond for someone moving up from a teardrop who can already generate their own pace. Our diamond padel rackets and advanced padel rackets pages compare it with other brands.

Not for you if

You spend most of the rally defending, you're still finding the sweet spot regularly, or you want depth from the racket on slow balls. A diamond's higher, smaller sweet spot punishes those games. Oxdog's Hyper teardrops or a round control racket will make you a better player sooner.

What to pair with the Ultimate Pro

Diamonds take knocks on the glass, so fit the Oxdog No1 frame protector or another racket protector before your first match. Keep the grip fresh with Oxdog Gold Pro overgrips or anything from our padel grips range.

For balls, a tube of Oxdog Boost+ keeps the bag one brand, and our padel balls guide explains how long they stay lively. The Oxdog Court 42 bag has room for rackets and kit, or browse every padel bag. Add padel shoes built for sand-filled turf; an attacking racket needs feet that can get you to the net. The full padel racket range and our guide to choosing a padel racket cover everything else.

Oxdog Ultimate Pro 2026 Padel Racket: questions people ask

What is the difference between the Oxdog Ultimate Pro and Ultimate Pro+?

The Pro+ has a hard foam core and weighs 370 g; the Pro uses Medium+ foam at 365 g. On Padelful the Pro+ scores higher for power and control, while the Pro is quicker to handle, gives more rebound and has a slightly bigger sweet spot.

Is the Oxdog Ultimate Pro good for intermediate players?

For strong intermediates who attack, yes; it is one of the more forgiving full-weight diamonds. Players who mostly defend or are still finding the sweet spot will do better with a teardrop such as the Oxdog Hyper range.

Is the Oxdog Ultimate Pro 2026 different from the 2025?

Oxdog sells both seasons under the same Ultimate Pro name, and the published recipe is the same: diamond, 365 g, high balance, Medium+ foam and HES Carbon. Check the season on the listing if you want the newer colours.

Oxdog Ultimate Pro or Hyper Pro+: diamond or teardrop?

The Ultimate Pro is the diamond, with a higher sweet spot built for smashing. The Hyper Pro+ is a harder teardrop that puts control first. Pick the Ultimate if you finish points at the net, the Hyper if you build them from the back.

How heavy is the Oxdog Ultimate Pro?

Oxdog lists 365 g. Removing the 8 g weight from the handle cap makes it lighter and moves the balance further towards the head; each overgrip adds about 4 to 5 g back at the handle.

How do I protect an Oxdog Ultimate Pro?

Fit a frame protector before you play, since diamonds clip the glass on overheads, and keep the racket in a cover away from heat. Check the handle weight is screwed in tightly every so often.
