Oxdog Hyper Pro+ 2.0 Padel Racket

£265

The Oxdog Hyper Pro+ 2.0 is the firmest teardrop in Oxdog's range: 370 g, hard foam core, HES Carbon faces and a balance that leans towards the head. It's built for advanced and strong intermediate players who want control first and a real punch second.

If you searched for the Oxdog Hyper Pro 2.0, note the plus. The Hyper Pro 2.0 is its slightly lighter, softer sibling with Medium+ foam; the Pro+ is the harder, more precise version. The first section sets them side by side. (The 2.0 is Oxdog's version number on the Hyper, not a year.)

  • Removable 8 g handle weight

Oxdog Hyper Pro 2.0 vs Hyper Pro+ 2.0: which one?

Same shape, same HES Carbon face, different heart. The Pro+ uses Oxdog's hard foam and weighs 370 g; the Pro uses Medium+ foam at 365 g. On Padelful's 2026 scores that difference shows exactly where you'd expect: the Pro+ is ahead on control (9.5 against 9.1) and power (8.6 against 8.2), while the Pro hands more back on rebound (8.6 against 8.0) and is quicker in the hand (8.7 against 7.9).

Choose the Pro+ if you hit the ball cleanly and want it to go precisely where you meant, including when you're under pressure at the net. The Pro is the better buy for a player who wants a little help with depth and a lighter-feeling head. Only the Pro+ is on our shelves at the moment.

Oxdog Hyper Pro+ 2.0 review: how it plays

Firm is the first impression, and it stays that way. Padelful describes a head-leaning teardrop with a very clear bias towards control first and aggression second, and the scores back it: 9.5 for control is among the highest of any carbon teardrop we list. Placement from the back of the court is precise, the racket holds steady when you're stretched at the net, and a well-struck smash goes through the court rather than up off it. Padel Racket Reviews named it its power pick for 2026, which tells you the punch is real once you supply the swing.

The hard foam has a cost. Slow balls need you to accelerate through them, and a defensive player who relies on the racket for depth will find it demanding. If you like a soft, cushioned strike, this isn't your racket. It's a little slower in the hand than the Pro, too, so very fast volley exchanges reward early preparation.

Where the Hyper Pro+ 2.0 sits in the Oxdog range

Oxdog's naming is unusually logical once you see it laid out. The family gives you the shape: Ultimate is the diamond, Hyper the teardrop (Oxdog calls it a drop shape) and Pure the hybrid in between. The tier gives you the feel: Pro+ is hard foam at 370 g, Pro is Medium+ foam, Tour X a medium foam with a medium balance, Court the soft entry version (the Ultimate Court is the diamond one, the Pure Court the forgiving hybrid) and Woman Air the 345 to 350 g light edition with a slimmer handle. The 2027 Ultimate Pro Light adds a 350 g diamond for players who want the Ultimate shape in a lighter frame.

So the Hyper Pro+ is the hardest teardrop. Its diamond cousin is the Oxdog Ultimate Pro+, its hybrid cousin the Pure Pro+, and if you want the Hyper shape in a lighter frame, the Hyper Woman Air is the one.

Tuning it: the removable weight in the handle

Oxdog fits an 8 g weight in the butt cap of the handle on most of its rackets, which it calls RBS. Left in, it keeps some mass at your hand and the head feels quicker. Unscrew it and the racket loses 8 g with the balance moving towards the head, which adds power to the smash and takes a little speed out of fast volleys.

Try a full session each way before you decide, and don't lose the screw. It's the sort of part that vanishes into a kit bag forever.

Is the Oxdog Hyper Pro+ 2.0 right for you?

Yes if you're an advanced player, or a strong intermediate with a clean, committed swing, who wants a teardrop that rewards precision. It suits players who build points from the back and finish at the net. Our advanced padel rackets page explains the level, and teardrop padel rackets compares the shape across brands.

Not for you if

You want the racket to give you depth on slow balls, you prefer a soft, cushioned feel, or your arm is sensitive to firm rackets. The Pure Tour X has a medium foam and a gentler response, and our round control rackets are the place to start if comfort matters most.

What to pair with the Hyper Pro+ 2.0

Keep the handle dry and tacky with the Oxdog Gold Pro overgrips or anything from our padel grips range; on a hard racket, a slipping grip costs you the precision you paid for. Protect the frame with the Oxdog No1 frame protector, or see every racket protector.

For balls, a tube of Oxdog Boost+ keeps it in the family, and our padel balls guide explains how long a tube stays lively. The Oxdog X Pro Thermo bag has a thermal compartment for carbon rackets, or browse every padel bag. Finish with padel shoes that grip sand-filled turf.

Oxdog Hyper Pro+ 2.0 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Oxdog Hyper Pro+ 2.0 the same as the Hyper Pro 2.0?

No. They share the teardrop shape and HES Carbon face, but the Pro+ has a hard foam core and weighs 370 g, while the Hyper Pro 2.0 uses Medium+ foam at 365 g. The Pro+ feels firmer and more controlled; the Pro gives more rebound.

What does 2.0 mean on the Oxdog Hyper?

It is the version number of the Hyper line, not a year. Shops list the Hyper Pro+ 2.0 in both 2025 and 2026 editions under the same name, so check the season on the listing.

Is the Oxdog Hyper Pro+ 2.0 good for intermediate players?

For a strong intermediate with a committed swing, yes. It gives little help on slow balls, so a player still building their stroke will usually progress faster with the Pure Tour X or another medium-foam racket.

Is the Oxdog Hyper Pro+ 2.0 more powerful than the Ultimate Pro+?

Generally no. The Ultimate is Oxdog's diamond, with its sweet spot higher on the face for smashing, while the Hyper is the teardrop with more all-court control. The Hyper Pro+ suits players who want precision first and power second.

How heavy is the Oxdog Hyper Pro+ 2.0?

Oxdog lists 370 g. Taking out the 8 g RBS weight in the handle cap brings it lighter and moves the balance towards the head; each overgrip adds roughly 4 to 5 g back at the handle.

How do I look after an Oxdog Hyper Pro+ 2.0?

Fit a frame protector before you play, keep it in a thermal bag or cover away from heat, and check the RBS weight is screwed in tightly from time to time. Heat and impacts against the glass do far more damage than normal play.
