Oxdog Pure Court 2026 Padel Racket

£125

The Oxdog Pure Court is the most forgiving racket Oxdog makes: 365 g, a soft EVA core, a composite face on a carbon frame and a medium balance. It's built for beginners and relaxed club players who want the ball to go back over the net with depth, without much effort and without punishing a mishit.

Padelful gives its sweet spot 9.6 out of 10. The price is power, which scores 5.9.

Big sweet spot, small smash

Everything about the Pure Court is aimed at keeping the ball in play. Padelful lists a huge, forgiving sweet spot, quick handling at the net (8.5) and easy depth from defence (rebound 9.2) as its strengths. For someone in their first year, that's exactly the right set of priorities.

The weaknesses are all about finishing. Flat smashes lack punch, there's not much weight behind overheads, and Padelful calls the finishing power muted. Control scores 7.0, fine rather than precise. You'll win points with this racket by not giving them away.

Hybrid or round?

Oxdog's Pure family is its hybrid shape, sitting between the Hyper teardrop and the Ultimate diamond, and Padel Reference calls the Pure Court a medium-balance hybrid. Padelful's spec box lists it as round. Both agree the balance is medium. In the hand it behaves like a forgiving round racket with a little more head, which is about what a hybrid should be.

Pure Court or Ultimate Court?

Oxdog makes two Court rackets. The Ultimate Court is the diamond Court: head-heavy, more power (7.0 against 5.9 on Padelful), but much slower in the hand (6.8 against 8.5) and with a far smaller sweet spot (7.5 against 9.6). For most people buying their first or second racket, the Pure Court is the better choice. The Ultimate suits a weekly player who already lives at the net.

Who should buy it

Beginners, improvers and social players, especially anyone coming from tennis who wants a racket that won't make them pay for late contact. It sits on our beginners padel racket list for that reason, and our padel racket hub shows the rest of the range by level and shape.

Not for you if

You already finish points with a hard smash, or you want precise control for placement over distance. With 5.9 for power and 7.0 for control, the Pure Court will feel soft and vague to an attacking intermediate. The Ultimate Court or the Pure Tour X will suit you better.

Setting it up

Fit the Oxdog No1 frame protector straight away; new players scrape the frame more than anyone. An Oxdog Gold Pro overgrip or another from our padel grips range keeps the handle tacky.

A tube of Oxdog Boost+ balls suits a soft racket, and our padel balls page covers when to replace them. Add padel shoes with a herringbone sole and a padel bag, and if you're still weighing up options, read how to choose a padel racket.

Oxdog Pure Court 2026 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Oxdog Pure Court the same as the Ultimate Court?

No. Both are Oxdog's soft Court tier at 365 g, but the Pure Court is a hybrid with a medium balance and a 9.6 sweet spot on Padelful, while the Ultimate Court is a head-heavy diamond with more power.

Is the Oxdog Pure Court good for beginners?

Yes. A soft core, a medium balance and a very large sweet spot make it one of the more forgiving rackets we list. It will feel soft once you start attacking regularly.

Oxdog Pure Court or Pure Tour X: which should I buy?

The Pure Court if you are learning and want forgiveness first. The Pure Tour X has a medium foam and more control, and it is the step up once your contact is consistent.

How do I make the Oxdog Pure Court last?

Fit a frame protector, keep it out of hot cars and direct sun, which soften foam cores, and store it in a cover between sessions.

How heavy is the Oxdog Pure Court?

Oxdog lists it at 365 g. An overgrip adds a few grams at the handle, which slightly lowers the balance.
