Oxdog Ultimate Court 2026 Padel Racket

£110

The Oxdog Ultimate Court is the entry version of Oxdog's diamond: 365 g, a medium-soft foam and a composite fibre face on a carbon frame. It's for club players who live at the net and want the ball to come off the racket with some help, without paying for the carbon-faced Ultimate Pro.

Padelful scores it 7.4 overall, and its best number is the one that matters most at this level: 8.8 for rebound.

Easy pop, heavy head

The soft foam does the work here. Padelful lists a fast response on the volley, clean bandejas and víboras, and a lively ball off the face among its strengths, which is what most weekly players want from a diamond: a bit of free pace when they get to the net.

Handling is where you pay for it. At 6.8 it's the lowest score on the sheet, and Padelful says the racket feels limited in quick exchanges, needs you in the right place to defend, and is less refined on touch shots. Power and control both sit at 7.0, which is honest for a racket at this price. It won't turn a mishit into a winner.

Ultimate Court or Ultimate Pro?

Same shape, same 365 g on paper, very different rackets. The carbon-faced Ultimate Pro swaps the composite face for HES Carbon and the soft foam for Medium+, and Padelful scores it well clear on power (9.2), control (9.0), handling (8.0) and sweet spot (8.6). The Court only wins on rebound, 8.8 against 8.3, because a softer core gives the ball back more easily.

If you already hit the ball hard and cleanly, spend the extra and get the Pro. If you're a weekly player who wants the diamond shape with some forgiveness built into the feel, the Court is the sensible starting point.

How Oxdog names its rackets

Oxdog keeps it simple. The family is the shape (Ultimate is the diamond, Hyper the teardrop, Pure the hybrid), and the second word is the feel. Court is the soft entry tier, Pro the Medium+ carbon version and Pro+ the hard one at 370 g. So the Ultimate Court is a diamond with the gentlest build Oxdog makes. Its hybrid twin, the Pure Court, keeps the soft foam but moves the weight back towards the hand.

A note on balance

Padelful describes the Ultimate Court as head-heavy, and one shop lists it as high balance, while other listings say medium. Oxdog publishes no balance in millimetres, so each shop describes it its own way. On a 365 g diamond with a soft core, expect it to feel heavier at the head than a teardrop. If that worries you, look at the Pure Court.

Who should buy it

Padelful pitches it at weekly players who spend a lot of time at the net and want help finishing points, and that's right. It suits an improver who has played a season on a round racket and wants to try a diamond without a hard carbon face. Our diamond padel racket page explains what the shape changes, and the intermediate padel racket guide has rounder options if you're not sure.

Not for you if

You defend a lot from the back, you rely on soft touch shots, or you're in your first few months of padel. A head-heavy diamond makes all three harder. Start with a round racket from our beginners padel racket page instead.

Kit for the Ultimate Court

Fit the Oxdog No1 frame protector before your first match; diamonds catch the glass on low balls more than any other shape. Keep the handle tacky with Oxdog Gold Pro overgrips or another wrap from our padel grips range.

A tube of Oxdog Boost+ balls keeps the bag in the family, and the padel balls page explains when to change them. Add padel shoes with a herringbone sole and a padel bag, and if you're still comparing, browse every padel racket or read how to choose a padel racket.

Oxdog Ultimate Court 2026 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Oxdog Ultimate Court the same racket as the Ultimate Pro?

No. Both are 365 g diamonds, but the Court has a medium-soft foam and a composite fibre face, while the Pro has Medium+ foam and an HES Carbon face. The Pro scores higher for power, control and handling on Padelful.

Is the Oxdog Ultimate Court good for beginners?

Not for the first few months. It is a head-heavy diamond with a 6.8 handling score. Once you have a season behind you and play at the net a lot, it is a gentle way into the shape.

Oxdog Ultimate Court or Pure Court: which should I buy?

Both use the soft Court build. The Ultimate is a diamond for players who want help finishing points; the Pure is a hybrid that is more forgiving from the back of the court.

How long will the Oxdog Ultimate Court last?

That depends on how often you play and how you store it. Soft foams lose some life with heat and heavy use, so keep it out of hot cars and use a cover and frame protector.

How heavy is the Oxdog Ultimate Court?

Padelful lists it at 365 g, the same as the Ultimate Pro; one shop gives 360 g. An overgrip adds a few grams at the handle.
