Oxdog Pure Woman Air Padel Racket

£190

The Oxdog Pure Woman Air is the lightest racket Oxdog makes at 340g, a hybrid shape with a soft foam core and an HES Carbon face on a carbon frame. It's built for the same forgiving, control-first idea as the rest of the Pure range, just in Oxdog's lightest build.

Oxdog sells three Woman Air rackets and this is the lightest of them: 5g under the Hyper Woman Air, 10g under the Ultimate Woman Air. If a light frame is the priority over shape or balance, this is the one to start with.

Oxdog's three Woman Air rackets

Oxdog builds a women's-weight racket in each of its three shapes, and this one sits at the bottom of the scale. The Hyper Woman Air is a 345g teardrop; the Ultimate Woman Air a 350g diamond. The Pure Woman Air drops to 340g and pairs it with a soft foam core rather than the medium foam used in the other two, which makes it the gentlest of the three on contact as well as the lightest in the hand.

That combination, lightest weight plus softest core, suits players who find even the Hyper Woman Air a little firm, or who are coming from tennis and want the racket to absorb the shot rather than push back.

How it plays

No independent scoring site has tested this exact model yet, so we won't invent numbers. Retailers describe the same thing consistently: a highly forgiving response, comfortable contact and an easy time building longer rallies, the hallmarks of the Pure family's soft-foam build that we've seen on the Pure Court as well.

Softer foam means less free power, the same trade the Pure Court makes at a heavier weight. You won't finish many points with pace alone; you'll win them by keeping the ball in play and waiting for the opening.

A spec we won't paper over: the balance

Retailers disagree on the balance point. One spec sheet lists it as low, the same page's own description calls it medium, and other retailers lean medium too. We can't resolve it from the sources available, so we're stating the conflict rather than picking a number to sound certain. Either way, it isn't head-heavy; the weight sits close to the handle.

Where it sits in the Pure range

All four Pure rackets we stock share the same hybrid shape; what changes is the foam. The Woman Air and Pure Court both use soft foam, though the Woman Air is 25g lighter. The Pure Tour X steps up to medium foam for more control once your contact is reliable, and the Pure Pro+ is the hard-foam, advanced-level version at 370g. Moving up this list trades forgiveness for precision.

Four hybrids, one shape, four different feels. All four share the Pure hybrid shape; foam hardness is what changes between them. From oxdog.com and retailer spec sheets. The Woman Air also drops 25g against the Court.

Who should buy it

Beginners and social players who want the lightest, most forgiving racket on our Oxdog shelf, smaller or lighter players who find 365g rackets tiring, and anyone moving from tennis who wants a soft, comfortable first padel racket. Our women's padel rackets page lines up light rackets from every brand, and best padel racket for beginners covers the level more broadly.

Not for you if

You already attack and want the racket to help finish points. The soft core gives up power the way the Pure Court does, and this is lighter still. The Pure Tour X or Hyper Woman Air will carry you further as you improve.

What to pair with it

A light racket still needs a fresh grip; the Oxdog Gold Pro overgrips or any padel grip keeps the handle tacky. Fit the Oxdog No1 frame protector early, since new players tend to scrape the frame more than most.

For balls, a tube of Oxdog Boost+ matches the racket, and our padel balls guide covers how long a tube stays lively. Add padel shoes built for sand-filled turf and a padel bag to carry everything. The full padel racket range covers every brand and shape, and the guide to choosing a padel racket explains foam and balance from scratch.

Oxdog Pure Woman Air Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Oxdog Pure Woman Air the lightest Oxdog racket?

Among the rackets we stock, yes. At 340g it undercuts both the Hyper Woman Air (345g) and the Ultimate Woman Air (350g), Oxdog's other two women's-weight rackets.

Has the Oxdog Pure Woman Air changed for 2027?

We can't confirm. No source we found, including retailer spec sheets, states a season for this model at all. Our catalogue title carries a 2027 we haven't been able to verify; the specs on this page are what every retailer currently lists.

Is the Oxdog Pure Woman Air good for beginners?

Yes, it is one of the most forgiving rackets we stock. A soft foam core and the lightest weight on our Oxdog shelf make it an easy racket to learn on, though it gives up power once you start attacking.

What's the difference between the Pure Woman Air and the Pure Court?

Both use a soft foam core and the same hybrid shape, but the Pure Woman Air is 340g against the Pure Court's 365g and comes with a slimmer women's-series handle. Choose by hand size and preferred weight; the feel on the ball is similar.

How heavy is the Oxdog Pure Woman Air?

Oxdog and its retailers list 340g, with a ±10g tolerance between individual rackets. An overgrip adds roughly 4 to 5g back at the handle if it ever feels too light.
