Oxdog Pure Pro+ 2026 Padel Racket

£245

The Oxdog Pure Pro+ is Oxdog's hard-foam hybrid: 370 g, HES Carbon faces on a carbon frame, and the firmest build in the Pure family. It's for advanced players who defend well, like to volley, and want precision more than free pace.

On Padelful it's the most controlled of Oxdog's three Pro+ rackets, with 9.6 for control and a 9.7 sweet spot. Power is a modest 7.5. You supply the swing; the racket supplies the accuracy.

Precise, stable, and asks for a full swing

Padelful's strengths read like a net player's shopping list: a huge sweet spot, precise blocks and volleys, and a clean ball exit. Handling is 8.5, quick for a 370 g racket with hard foam.

The cost shows in the weaknesses. It needs a full swing to get the ball deep, it doesn't give much easy pace, and it punishes rushed contact. In Padelful's words it suits players who value control, stability and a big margin for clean striking. That's a polite way of saying a lazy swing will land short.

Pure Pro+, Hyper Pro+ or Ultimate Pro+?

Oxdog builds its Pro+ three ways, all at 370 g with hard foam and HES Carbon. The Hyper Pro+ 2.0 is the teardrop: 8.6 for power, 9.5 control, 9.0 sweet spot. The Ultimate Pro+ is the diamond: 9.8 for power but the smallest sweet spot of the three at 8.4. The Pure sits at the control end of that line, with the least power and the most forgiveness.

Our take: pick the Pure if you build points and defend, the Hyper if you want an all-court racket with a bit of punch, and the Ultimate only if you finish everything overhead.

Hybrid shape, but which balance?

Oxdog's Pure family is its hybrid, between the Hyper teardrop and the Ultimate diamond, and Oxdog describes the Pure Pro+ with a high balance. Padelful's spec box lists the shape as round and calls the balance sensible. Neither publishes a balance in millimetres, so we'll measure one when stock arrives. What both agree on is the feel: steady at the net rather than whippy.

Who it suits

Advanced players with a long, clean swing: right-side players, defenders who like to counter, and volleyers who want the ball to go exactly where they point. It sits on our control padel racket page for that reason, and our advanced padel rackets hub sets it against Bullpadel and Nox at the same level.

Not for you if

You're an intermediate who still needs the racket to add depth, or you've had elbow trouble. A hard core passes more of the hit to the arm, and a 7.5 for power means a short swing gets punished. The Pure Court or the medium-foam Pure Tour X is the kinder choice.

Grip, protector and balls

A hard racket feels harsher with a worn grip, so change the overgrip often; Oxdog Gold Pro overgrips or anything from our padel grips range will do. The Oxdog No1 frame protector keeps the carbon rim safe on low volleys.

Fresh, lively balls matter with a racket that gives little free pace; a tube of Oxdog Boost+ or anything on our padel balls page works. Add padel shoes with a herringbone sole and Oxdog's own two-racket bag, or any padel bag with a thermal pocket. See every padel racket or our guide on how to choose a padel racket if you're still comparing.

Oxdog Pure Pro+ 2026 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Oxdog Pure Pro+ the same racket as the Hyper Pro+?

No. They share the 370 g weight, hard foam and HES Carbon face, but the Pure Pro+ is a hybrid and the Hyper Pro+ 2.0 a teardrop. Padelful scores the Pure higher for control and sweet spot and the Hyper higher for power.

Is the Oxdog Pure Pro+ suitable for intermediate players?

Only strong intermediates with a full, clean swing. The hard core gives little free pace, so most intermediates will be happier with the Pure Tour X.

Which has more control, the Oxdog Pure Pro+ or the Ultimate Pro+?

The Pure Pro+, narrowly: 9.6 against 9.4 on Padelful, with a much bigger sweet spot (9.7 against 8.4). The Ultimate Pro+ has far more power.

How do I look after a hard-foam racket like the Pure Pro+?

Keep it out of hot cars and direct sun, fit a frame protector and use a cover. Change the overgrip as soon as it gets slippery, because a hard racket twists more in a wet hand.

How heavy is the Oxdog Pure Pro+?

Oxdog lists 370 g, the same as the other Pro+ rackets. An overgrip adds a few grams at the handle.
