Oxdog X Padel Bag

£40

The Oxdog X Padel Bag is a 32-litre, two-racket bag with dual carry: padded backpack straps for commuting, grab handles for the car. It's a plain bag rather than a thermal one, which is the detail worth knowing before you order.

Oxdog sells two other X-family bags that share a near-identical size and the same dark grey finish, so it's easy to pick the wrong one by name alone. This one is the version without a thermal racket pocket.

  • Dual carry: backpack or handles

What this bag actually is

Three retailers agree on the same numbers: 32 litres, room for two rackets, dimensions of 27 x 48 x 30cm, and a single side pocket for keys, a phone or a wrist cord. It carries as a backpack with padded straps or by its grab handles, so it works equally well on a bike, a train, or thrown in a boot.

What none of them mention is a thermal lining, and that's the point. Oxdog's X range also includes the X Padel Pro Thermo Bag and the X Padel Thermo Backpack, both insulated and both close to this bag's size. This one is the plainer, cheaper option: a padded sleeve for knocks, not a thermal barrier against heat.

Which Oxdog X bag do you actually want?

If your racket is an entry-level frame, or you're careful about where you leave the bag, this one is fine; a padded sleeve still protects it from knocks. If your racket is a premium carbon frame, or it ever sits in a hot car boot, the thermal lining on the X Padel Pro Thermo Bag or X Padel Thermo Backpack is worth having; EVA foam cores soften in heat and don't recover. Retailers quote the two thermal bags' capacity inconsistently, some say 28 litres, others 32, so check the exact listing rather than assuming they're identical to each other.

All three hold two rackets and share the family's dark grey colourway, which is exactly why the mix-up happens. Name and thermal lining are what to check, not litres.

Pick by thermal lining, not by the name alone. *Retailers give 28L and 32L for the Thermo Backpack; we state both rather than pick one. Same family name, same rough size: thermal lining is the real difference. From teerico.com, mypadellife.com, esprit-padel-shop.com and tenniswarehouse-europe.com.

Who should buy it

Players who want a light, two-racket bag for commuting or a weekly club session, and don't need a thermal pocket because the racket doesn't sit in heat or cold between home and court. It pairs naturally with the Oxdog Hyper Woman Air, Oxdog Pure Woman Air or any lighter racket that doesn't need a six-racket holdall. See every padel bag for the full range of sizes and brands.

Not for you if

Your racket is an expensive carbon frame that sometimes waits in a car, or you want to carry three or more rackets. A thermal bag or a larger holdall from our padel bag range will serve you better.

Setting it up

Keep a tube of Oxdog Boost+ and a spare Oxdog Gold Pro overgrip in the side pocket so you're never caught short, and a padel racket protector fitted before the racket goes in. Pack padel shoes alongside it; there's no dedicated shoe section, so a drawstring bag keeps them away from clean kit. See the full padel racket range, or our guide on how to choose a padel racket if you're still deciding what goes inside.

Oxdog X Padel Bag: questions people ask

Is the Oxdog X Padel Bag the same as the Oxdog X Padel Thermo Backpack?

No. They share a similar size and the same dark grey finish, but this bag has no thermal lining; the Thermo Backpack does. Check the exact name before buying if heat protection matters to you.

How many rackets does the Oxdog X Padel Bag hold?

Two, according to every retailer listing we checked. The 32-litre capacity also leaves room for a change of kit and a tube of balls.

Does the Oxdog X Padel Bag have a thermal pocket?

No. For a racket that sits in a hot car or a cold boot between sessions, the Oxdog X Padel Pro Thermo Bag or X Padel Thermo Backpack have an insulated racket compartment instead.

Can I carry the Oxdog X Padel Bag as a backpack?

Yes, it has padded backpack straps as well as grab handles, so it works as a backpack for commuting or as a holdall when you drive.

What size is the Oxdog X Padel Bag?

Retailers list 27 x 48 x 30cm and 32 litres. It is sized for two padel rackets plus a change of kit, not a full tour setup.
