The Pallap Power Star 2025 padel racket is a 358 to 365g diamond that padelverdict.com scored 7.7 overall, built for intermediate attackers who want to finish points at the net.

Our own catalogue currently lists this racket at 350g, lighter than every outside source we've checked, which is a specific weight error worth flagging rather than a vague balance quibble.

A catalogue weight that doesn't match anyone else's figures

Three independent sources put this racket at 358 to 365g: padelverdict.com measured one unit at 358g and separately notes a declared range of 360 to 365g, and a UK retailer lists the same 360 to 365g window. Our own catalogue currently shows 350g with a light-weight tag, and we haven't found a single outside source that agrees with that figure.

This is a more specific problem than the balance mismatches we've flagged on other Pallap pages: it's a concrete weight claim, not a qualitative label, and it's worth the owner checking against a physical unit rather than us silently splitting the difference.

How it plays, according to a dedicated review

padelverdict.com scores it power 7.8, manoeuvrability 7.8, spin 7.4, sweet spot 7.6, playability 7.6, stability 7.6, control 7.2 and comfort 7.0, for an overall 7.7. It also breaks the racket down by playing style: a 7.66 fit for attackers, 7.62 for hybrid players and 7.40 for defenders.

The reviewer's take: strong power and manoeuvrability for a head-heavy racket, helped by enlarged holes near the top of the face that make it more forgiving than most diamonds. It's not recommended for touch-first defenders who play from the back of the court, where its firm frame and lower control and comfort scores work against them.

Built for intermediate attackers who finish at the net. Overall 7.7. Profile fit: Attacker 7.66, Hybrid 7.62, Defender 7.40. Scores from padelverdict.com's full 2025 review, on their own 0 to 10 scale.

2025 vs the current 2026 model

The build is close to identical: EVA 28 soft foam core, a 15K Ultra Carbon Alu Basalt-Carbon face with a Hyperspin texture and enlarged upper holes, on a Dual Carbon frame built from 3K tubular and braided carbon. The 2026 Power Star carries the same weight and balance window within a few grams and millimetres, so the differences between the two seasons look cosmetic rather than structural.

One detail confirmed by a second, independent source: the weight figures above are measured without the wrist cord, which adds roughly 8g once you're actually wearing it.

Who should buy it

Intermediate players who already attack from mid-court and want to finish at the net, per the reviewer's own framing. If you want more raw power once your technique catches up, the Power Elite and Power Pro sit above it in Pallap's own range. Our diamond padel rackets page sets all three against Bullpadel, Oxdog and Varlion's diamonds, and the best padel racket for intermediate players page covers the level more broadly.

Not for you if

You play from the back of the court and rely on touch rather than power. The review specifically says this racket isn't suited to touch-first defenders, citing its firm frame and lower comfort score. Our control padel racket page is a better starting point for that game.

Setting it up

Fit a padel racket protector before your first session; diamonds take more knocks on the glass than rounder shapes. Keep the handle tacky with an overgrip from our padel grip range.

Pair it with fresh balls from our padel balls range and a padel bag with a thermal pocket. Add padel shoes for sand-filled turf, see the full padel racket range, and the guide on how to choose a padel racket if you're comparing shapes.
