Pallap Velocity Elite Padel Racket

£206.95

The Pallap Velocity Elite padel racket is a 360 to 365g teardrop built for control and comfort, with a core and face aimed at players who want to absorb pace and win rallies through consistency rather than power.

It's the teardrop counterpart to the diamond Power Velocity Elite 01 we've already written up: same tier name, same family, genuinely different racket.

Not the same racket as the Power Velocity Elite 01

Pallap's Velocity range splits into two lines: Power Velocity, a diamond built for attack, and Control Velocity, a teardrop built to balance speed with control. This racket is the Control Velocity version of the Elite model. It shares an EVA-family core and a Carbon Kevlar frame with the diamond Power Velocity Elite 01, but the shape, balance and playing character are genuinely different.

Some retailers list a near-identical teardrop under the name "Control Velocity Elite 01." We don't stock that exact listing separately; this racket appears to be the same model under the shorter name our own catalogue uses. Its big brother, the Velocity Pro, keeps the same EVA 30 core under a 15K face and looks like the same outline in photos, though one UK retailer files that racket under diamond.

How it plays

Tennis Warehouse Europe calls it a control-focused racket with an exceptionally comfortable feel, and credits it with tolerance, forgiveness and precision. It absorbs pace well, which helps on defence and in long rallies where placement matters more than raw hit.

The trade-off is power. The same retailer notes it struggles to block very fast shots and doesn't hand you much free pace on the smash. It's built for right- and left-side players who prefer to win points through consistency rather than finishing them outright.

The build

The core is EVA 30, under a 12K carbon face on a Carbon Kevlar frame. That's a firmer core than the EVA 28 used on the diamond Power Velocity Elite 01, which is the opposite of what you might expect from a racket pitched at control rather than attack; the comfort TWE describes seems to come from the shape and balance rather than a softer core.

Who should buy it

Intermediate players who build points patiently and want a comfortable, forgiving teardrop rather than a power frame. Our teardrop padel racket page sets it against Bullpadel, Siux, Varlion and Oxdog's teardrops.

Not for you if

You rely on the racket to add pace, especially when blocking a hard-hit ball at the net. The firm EVA 30 core and teardrop shape favour placement over power. If you want more punch from the same family, the diamond Power Velocity Elite 01 is the attacking alternative.

Setting it up

Fit a padel racket protector and keep the handle fresh with an overgrip from our padel grip range, especially useful on a control racket where precision matters.

Pair it with fresh balls from our padel balls range and a padel bag with a thermal pocket. Add padel shoes for sand-filled turf, see the full padel racket range, and the guide on how to choose a padel racket if you're comparing shapes.

Pallap Velocity Elite Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Pallap Velocity Elite the same as the Power Velocity Elite 01?

No. This is the teardrop Control Velocity version, built for control and comfort. The Power Velocity Elite 01 is a diamond built for attack, with a different core and balance.

Is the Pallap Velocity Elite good for control players?

Yes, that's its whole design brief. Tennis Warehouse Europe describes it as forgiving, comfortable and good at absorbing pace, though it gives little free power in return.

What's the catch with the Pallap Velocity Elite?

Power. A retailer specifically notes it struggles to block very fast shots, so an aggressive attacker will likely prefer the diamond Power Velocity Elite 01 or another Pallap diamond.

How heavy is the Pallap Velocity Elite?

Retailers agree on 360 to 365g.

What core does the Pallap Velocity Elite use?

EVA 30, a firmer grade than the EVA 28 used on the diamond Power Velocity Elite 01, under a 12K carbon face on a Carbon Kevlar frame.
