Pallap Power Velocity Elite 01 Padel Racket

£219.98

The Pallap Power Velocity Elite 01 padel racket is a 355 to 360g diamond with a head-heavy balance, the attacking version of Pallap's Velocity Elite model. It's a genuinely different racket from the Pallap Power Elite, despite the confusingly similar name.

Pallap builds its Velocity range in two lines: Power Velocity, which is diamond and built for speed and attack, and Control Velocity, a teardrop built to balance speed with control. This racket is the Power Velocity version of the Elite model.

Not the same racket as the Pallap Power Elite

If you've seen both names and assumed they're the same racket, they're not. The Pallap Power Elite belongs to a separate Power family with its own build (EVA 28 foam, a Rocksolid 24K carbon face, and a score from an independent reviewer). This racket, the Power Velocity Elite 01, belongs to Pallap's Velocity family instead, with a different face grade and no independent review we could find.

Both are diamonds pitched at a similar level, which is exactly why the names get confused. If you're choosing between them, the Power Elite has the stronger paper trail: a full set of expert scores against this racket's spec-sheet-only listing.

Pallap's Velocity family: two shapes, one range

A brand-background piece on Pallap's US launch explains the split plainly: Power Velocity is the diamond, built for speed and attack; Control Velocity is the teardrop, built to balance speed with control for both ends of the court. Most of the Velocity rackets we stock, the Velocity Elite, Velocity Star and Velocity Team Light, are the teardrop Control Velocity line, and this Power Velocity Elite 01 is the diamond Power Velocity line. The 2025 Velocity Pro is the awkward one: a UK retailer lists it as a diamond, Padelreference as a teardrop.

So the shape, not the tier name, is what tells you which line a Velocity racket belongs to.

List of the Pallap Velocity family by shape, showing most are teardrop Control Velocity rackets, the Power Velocity Elite 01 is a diamond and the shape of the Velocity Pro is disputed

The build

The face is a 12K basalt-carbon weave (one retailer listing names it 15K instead, a conflict we can't resolve), over an EVA 28 foam core that one source describes as a touch softer than the one used on the Velocity Pro, which also runs about 5g heavier. The frame is Carbon-Kevlar, reinforced with the same Rocksolid bridge stabiliser named on several other Pallap rackets, including the unrelated Power Elite and Evoforce Pro, which makes it a genuine brand-wide technology rather than something unique to this model.

One retailer's manufacturing note, unconfirmed elsewhere, says the carbon is made in Italy and the foam in Spain.

Who should buy it

Advanced players who want a diamond's attacking power from Pallap's Velocity range specifically, rather than its separate Power line. Our diamond padel rackets page sets it against Bullpadel, Oxdog and Varlion's diamonds, including Pallap's own Power Elite for comparison.

Not for you if

You're still building consistent contact, or you want a racket with independent reviews behind it. We couldn't find a scored review of this exact model; the Pallap Power Elite has one, if that matters to your decision. A teardrop from our teardrop padel racket page is also kinder while you're learning.

Setting it up

Fit a padel racket protector before your first session; diamonds clip the glass more than rounder shapes. Keep the handle tacky with an overgrip from our padel grip range.

Pair it with fresh balls from our padel balls range and a padel bag with a thermal pocket. Add padel shoes for sand-filled turf, see the full padel racket range, and the guide on how to choose a padel racket if you're comparing shapes.

Pallap Power Velocity Elite 01 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Pallap Power Velocity Elite 01 the same as the Pallap Power Elite?

No, despite the similar name. The Power Elite belongs to Pallap's separate Power family with its own build and an independent review; this racket is from the Velocity family and has a different face and core.

What's the difference between Power Velocity and Control Velocity?

Shape. Power Velocity is Pallap's diamond line for attacking play; Control Velocity is the teardrop line built to balance speed with control. This racket is the Power Velocity version of the Elite model.

Is the Pallap Power Velocity Elite 01 good for intermediate players?

It's pitched at advanced players. As a head-heavy diamond with a smaller sweet spot, an intermediate player will likely do better on a teardrop from Pallap's Control Velocity line or elsewhere.

How heavy is the Pallap Power Velocity Elite 01?

Retailers agree on 355 to 360g, around 5g lighter than the Velocity Pro.

What technology does the Pallap Power Velocity Elite 01 use?

A 12K basalt-carbon face over an EVA 28 foam core, on a Carbon-Kevlar frame reinforced with Pallap's Rocksolid bridge stabiliser, the same technology named on several other Pallap rackets.
