Raquex Evade Pro Overgrip (3 Pack, Padel)

£6.90

The Raquex Evade Pro overgrip is a pack of three padel overgrips listed at 0.65 mm thick, 95 cm long and 25 mm wide. Padelspeed describes a triple-layer material meant to improve absorbency and tack, and says the grip is designed for padel or pickleball.

That is seller wording, and we found no independent tack test or weight. The thickness is the useful number: it sits at the top of the 0.43 to 0.65 mm band that brands publish for overgrips.

What the listings say about the Evade Pro

Three overgrips in a pack, each 95 cm by 25 mm, with a thickness of 0.65 mm. Padelspeed says the triple-layer material is there for absorbency and tackiness, which is how most overgrip makers describe their top models, and this one is sold for padel or pickleball.

There is no word on perforation, weight, colours or a tack rating. A 95 cm strip is on the short side, so you may wrap with less overlap than you would with a longer one, and a handle with a big butt cap could use the whole length.

How thick is thick?

At 0.65 mm the Evade Pro is thicker than the Bullpadel overgrip at 0.5 mm, the Babolat My overgrip at 0.55 mm and HEAD's 0.6 mm pro wrap. The adidas overgrip is listed at about 0.75 mm by retailers, which is thicker still.

A thicker wrap cushions more and builds up the handle, so it suits players with small hands or sore joints, and it is a worse pick if your grip already feels big. For a one-off try at another pack size, the Black Crown 12-pack is the value choice.

Using and changing it

Start at the butt end with the narrow edge and wrap upward with a slight overlap, then finish with the tape. Change it when it goes shiny and the tack has faded, which for a regular player is every few sessions. If it is the base layer that has worn through, the Raquex Enhance replacement grip goes under it.

For a sweaty hand, Signum Pro's heavy-sweater wrap is another route. There is also a seller-claimed Raquex anti-sweat spray. Browse all padel grips, add a padel racket or a tube of padel balls, and see the padel accessories page for the rest.

Who should skip it

Players who want a thin, low-bulk wrap, anyone who needs a published weight or tack rating, and those who like a long strip to wrap with plenty of overlap.

Not for you if

You want a thin overgrip or a proven tacky one. The Evade Pro is at the thick end, and its tack claim is the seller's wording with no test behind it.
