StarVie Kenta+ 2026 Padel Racket

£147

The StarVie Kenta+ 2026 is a soft, forgiving round racket for intermediate players who want comfort and a large margin for error: 358 g, a 12K Carbon Hyper face, a soft S-EVA Flex core and a 38 mm profile. It is built for long matches and players who rely on consistency over finishing power.

Padelful scores it 8.2 overall, with rebound 9.4, sweet spot 9 and manoeuvrability 8.9. Power (6.7) and control (7.2) are lower, so it is the one to pick for comfort, not precision or pace.

It is the 2026 racket, so check the season before you buy.

What the Kenta+ is

Padelgids lists a round racket at 358 g, give or take 8, 38 mm thick, with a 12K Carbon Hyper face that enlarges the sweet spot and an S-EVA Flex core, a soft-density foam aimed at ball output and comfort. The technology list includes Spin Boost Tech for surface texture, Geo Bridge, a hexagonal bridge for rigidity and swing speed, Reactive Holes for stability and ball exit, a longer handgrip and Z-Shock anti-vibration in the grip.

Weight runs from 350 to 365 g across listings, with Tennis Warehouse giving 358 g plus or minus 10. Balance is medium on nearly every listing and even on one. We use the Padelgids figures.

How the Kenta+ plays

Soft and arm-friendly. Padelful's reviewer found very forgiving sweet spot, comfortable contact and clean ball exit when defending, and the scores agree: rebound 9.4, sweet spot 9 and manoeuvrability 8.9 are all high. It keeps rallies alive and tells your elbow very little.

The weaker points are finishing and precision. Smashes lack power, overheads have little extra bite and winners do not come easily. A control score of 7.2 is lower than the racket's reputation suggests, so think of it as a comfortable, easy racket rather than a precise one. The review sample is small, so treat the numbers as a guide.

Against the Raptor+: a livelier face, less control and power. Padelful scores out of 10.

Kenta+ or Raptor+?

The Raptor+ 2026 is the more precise of the two, with control at 8.9 against 7.2 and power at 8 against 6.7. The Kenta+ is livelier and more comfortable, with higher rebound and handling. If you want accuracy, take the Raptor+; if your priority is a soft, arm-friendly feel, the Kenta+ is easier to live with.

The livelier teardrop Drax Plus is another StarVie to weigh. For a harder, more demanding racket, the Black Titan is the other end of the StarVie range, and the Astrum+ is the medium-cored teardrop between them.

Who should skip the Kenta+

Players who want to finish points or need a precise, controlled response. A power score of 6.7 and a soft core give little help at the net, and our advanced padel rackets page has frames that reward a full swing. If you are newer to the game, StarVie's own Polaris 2026 and the round Arkos 2026 are the softer beginner rackets, and the best padel racket for beginners page covers friendlier, cheaper options.

Not for you if

You want free power or sharp precision. Padelful scores power 6.7 and control 7.2, and notes limited smash power and little bite on overheads. Our teardrop padel rackets page has livelier frames.

Setting up a Kenta+

A soft racket likes a tacky grip. An overgrip such as the Head Pro overgrip is the usual first extra, and our padel grips page explains when to replace instead. Frame tape from the racket protector range is worth fitting before the first match.

A racket that gives little free power wants live balls, so a tube of Bullpadel Next balls is a sensible companion, and the padel balls page explains how fast pressure fades. The padel bags and padel shoes pages complete the kit, and the full padel racket range and our guide to choosing a padel racket put it in context.
