Varlion LW Cube ElbowCare S Padel Racket (2025)

ElbowCare is Varlion's vibration-reduction system, aimed at players whose elbows complain. It sits on a Prisma carbon tubular frame, with a Carbon Cube three-dimensional carbon face, an embedded Slice texture, Ergoholes, Difusor Wings that guide air and soak up vibration and a Handlesafety strap. Padelgids lists a 14.5 cm handle and a self-adhesive AD System protector layer.

The S matters most. Padelgids ties it to a very hard EVA core designed for play above 25 degrees, and does not say what the letter stands for. The W is the same family with a core for cooler air. Padelful, using the same racket, calls the feel hard.

Probably not for most of the year. Varlion's own temperature guidance, as repeated by Padelgids, says the S core is for conditions above 25 degrees. A British evening in October is nowhere near that. A very hard core stays firm in the heat and can feel boardlike in the cold, which is not what a player with a tender elbow is shopping for.

If you play mainly indoors in a warm club, or on a hot summer afternoon, the S makes sense. Otherwise look at the LW Cube ElbowCare W, which is built for cooler air and has a lower balance.

Padelful describes a control-first racket with a firm, quick response that favours placement and spin over power. Its pros are a broad sweet spot for blocks, quick handling in defensive exchanges and strong bite on bandejas and víboras. Padelgids describes the sweet spot as wide and centred.

The cons are limited flat-smash power, passive shots that lack ball exit and compact volleys that need an active swing. A power rating of 6 sits well below a diamond's, so look elsewhere if the smash is your game.

Padelful and Padelgids agree on the round shape, the 350 to 365 g weight and the Prisma frame. They word the core differently, Hypersoft foam with a hard feel on Padelful and very hard EVA on Padelgids, and the balance differently, not especially head-heavy on one and medium on the other. Level runs from intermediate-to-advanced to professional, and one stockist snippet lists the shape as a teardrop.

The year label wanders as well: 2025 on Padelful and 2026 on Padelgids, with a 2025/2026 collection. We read it as the same racket.
