Varlion Maxima Carbon Rose Padel Racket (2025)

£200.96

The Varlion Maxima Carbon Rose padel racket is a light teardrop for technical all-court players: 340 to 350 g, an 18K carbon Carrera face, a Prisma frame and a foam core, built for speed, placement and spin rather than raw finishing power. Maxima is Varlion's teardrop line, and Rose is the colourway.

Padelful scores manoeuvrability 8.5, control 8, rebound and sweet spot 7.5 and power 6.5. On those numbers it is the gentlest hitter of Varlion's three shapes. Sources agree on the shape and weight, and word the core and the level a little differently.

What the Maxima Carbon Rose is

Maxima is the teardrop in Varlion's naming, sitting between the round LW and the diamond Bourne. Padelful lists a Carrera 20 carbon face rated 18K over a Hypersoft foam core, on a bidirectional carbon tubular Prisma frame, with a medium feel. Padelgids describes the face as 18K carbon with a diamond weave and the core as a Carbon Cube core with a medium touch.

The extras include an ErgoSlice-style SLICE texture, a Soft Wings Diffuser, Elbowcare vibration damping, a HandleSafety cord, a 14.5 cm grip and a self-adhesive AD protector, and a cover is listed in the box. Compare it with the rest of the range on our Varlion padel rackets page.

How it plays: quick, technical and a little polite

Padelful's pros are quick handling in defensive exchanges, precise volleys and directional blocks, and good bite on sliced overheads. It calls the Maxima a quick technical all-court racket built for placement, spin and fast reactions, and says the teardrop shape keeps handling lively while the medium feel gives a crisp impact without harshness.

The cons are honest about the weight. Smash weight and penetration are limited, off-centre hits reduce stability and you need acceleration to reach baseline depth. If you want the racket to finish points, this is not that.

What the sources agree on

Padelful and Padelgids agree on the teardrop shape, the 340 to 350 g weight, the Prisma frame and the 18K carbon face. They differ on the core wording, Hypersoft foam on one and a Carbon Cube core on the other, and on the level, intermediate to advanced against professional. Padelgids gives a medium balance, and Padelful says it is more forgiving to manoeuvre than to finish with.

The year is the usual Varlion muddle: 2025 on Padelful, and 2026 on Padelgids with a 2025/2026 collection. We treat it as one racket in new colours.

Three Varlion shapes, three temperaments

On Padelful's scores the Rose sits below the round and diamond rackets on power and below the round on sweet spot, which makes it the lightest hitter of the three. For round control, look at the LW Carbon 3 Summum, and for diamond power the Bourne Prisma Carbon Soft. For a teardrop with a firmer build, see the Maxima Prisma Carbon Soft, and for arm care in a teardrop, the Maxima Cube ElbowCare S. Other brands' teardrops are on our teardrop and hybrid padel rackets page.

What does Maxima mean on a Varlion racket?

Maxima is Varlion's teardrop line. The LW rackets are round and the Bourne rackets are diamond.

Is the Varlion Maxima Carbon Rose good for intermediate players?

Yes, technical ones. Padelful rates it intermediate to advanced, and its light weight and quick handling suit placement players. Padelgids calls it professional.

Is the Maxima Carbon Rose the same as the Maxima Prisma Carbon Soft?

No. They share the Maxima teardrop shape and the Prisma frame, but they are separate rackets with their own builds and scores.

How heavy is the Varlion Maxima Carbon Rose?

Padelful lists 340 and 350 g and Padelgids lists 340 to 350 g, so it is a light teardrop.

Does the Varlion Maxima Carbon Rose have much power?

Not much. Padelful scores power at 6.5, the lowest of its ratings, and lists limited smash weight as a con.

Is the Varlion Maxima Carbon Rose a 2025 or 2026 racket?

Both labels appear. Padelful says 2025 and Padelgids says 2026 with a 2025/2026 collection, so treat it as one racket.
