Wilson Premier Speed Padel Balls Box

£108.92

The Wilson Premier Speed padel balls box is a multi-can pack of Wilson's Speed ball, the version made for slower court surfaces, low altitudes and cold weather. Each can holds three balls wrapped in Dura-Weave felt that Tennis Warehouse Europe says is wound tight around the core.

The count is the catch. Our listing is titled 24 balls and the handle says 8 tubes, which reads as eight cans. Retailer boxes are usually 24 cans, or 72 balls, so check what is in yours before you compare prices.

How many balls are in the box

A can is three balls, so eight cans make 24 balls. That matches the title and the handle of our listing. Retailer pages describe something larger: iPon's standard Premier box is 24 cans of three, Padelmarket lists a Speed box of 24 cans, and both work out at 72 balls.

We cannot confirm from the listing which one you will receive, so look at the contents shown at checkout. A box priced like 24 balls is cheap per can and a box priced like 72 balls is not, and neither tells you which it is.

What the Speed ball is for

Wilson builds the Speed for slower court surfaces, low altitudes and cold weather, which is most of a British winter. Tennis Warehouse Europe says the tight Dura-Weave felt lets the ball move faster on slower surfaces and speeds up play.

The Premier against Speed comparison, with Wilson's conditions guide, sits on our Premier Speed dozen page. This page only sorts out the box. No source gives a pressure, a core or a lifespan, so we give none.

Table of what the Wilson Premier Speed can page states: 3 balls per can, Dura-Weave felt tight around the core, built for slower courts, low altitude and cold, tour ball of Premier Padel, with pressure, colour and lifespan not published

Box, canister or dozen

If you only want one can, the Premier canister is the standard-ball version, and the Premier Speed dozen covers the Speed in more depth. The Wilson X3 is the non-tour ball.

Who should skip it

Players on fast, hot or high courts, who will want the standard Premier, and anyone who plays rarely, because opened cans go flat whether you play or not. Our padel balls page compares more makes, and a pressuriser helps an open can last.

Try them with a racket like the Wilson Bela V3 or the Blade V4, an overgrip from our padel grips range and our guide to choosing a padel racket. The padel racket range and our padel shoes complete the set.

Not for you if

You need to be sure of the count. The listing says 24 balls, retailers sell 24-can boxes, and these are not the same.
