Wilson Premier Padel Speed Balls (Dozen)

£18.50

Wilson Premier Padel Speed is a padel ball sold for slower courts, low altitude and cold weather, with a new Dura-Weave felt wrapped tightly round the core. It comes in cans of three, and sellers list it as the Premier Padel tour's slower-conditions ball.

Our listing says dozen but does not state how many balls arrive, so check the pack before you order. Nothing we found measures the ball: the claims are Wilson's and the sellers'.

What the Speed ball claims, and what is measured

Tennis Warehouse Europe describes the ball as intended to speed up play, with a balance of playability and consistency, and lists the felt as a new Dura-Weave wrapped tightly round the core. It names slower surfaces, low altitudes and cold weather as the conditions it is for. It does not say what the core is, and it does not state the pressure, though Decathlon's titles call the tubes pressurised.

One seller adds a high-velocity core claim. We found no lab test, no pressure-retention data and no substantial player review, so the faster-on-slow-courts claim is the maker's, not a result.

Cans, bi-packs, boxes and the dozen

The ball is sold as a single can of three, a bi-pack of two cans and a case of 24 cans, which Doit Tennis lists as 72 balls. Our own range includes the single tube, the canister and an 8-tube 24 ball box. The standard-ball equivalent of the can is the Premier canister.

The dozen listing does not state a count. A dozen cans would be 36 balls, so check the pack at checkout. Opened cans go flat, which is where a ball pressuriser earns its keep.

Speed against the other Wilson balls

The Wilson Premier Padel ball is the same tour ball for faster conditions, and the X3 dozen is the club ball. Our full range is on the padel balls page.

Who should skip the Speed ball

Players on fast, warm or high-altitude courts, who are the people the standard Premier ball is sold to, and anyone who needs a published pressure figure. If you are still choosing a racket, our beginner padel rackets page is a good start, and our guide to choosing a padel racket explains shape and weight.

Not for you if

You play fast, hot courts or need a measured performance spec. We found neither a test nor a pressure figure.
