Black Crown Hurricane Pro 3.0 Padel Racket (2025)

£183

The Black Crown Hurricane Pro 3.0 padel racket is the 2025 control racket for technical players: a 12K carbon face over an SC White EVA core on a 2TB Air carbon frame, listed at 355 to 370 g. It is aimed at advanced players who want handling, comfort and accuracy more than raw power.

Listings disagree on its balance, with head heavy on one retailer and low on another, and on its shape, round or teardrop. This page sets out what Padel Reference's expert ratings say and where the sources conflict. It has since been succeeded by the Pro 4.0.

Hurricane Pro 3.0 review: handling and comfort first

Padel Reference describes a racket for technical and strategic players seeking control, manoeuvrability and feel, with intuitive handling and excellent accuracy. Its expert ratings back that up: control 9 and manoeuvrability 9, comfort 8 and tolerance 8, with power and spin effect lower at 7 each.

The face is 12K carbon with a ribbed relief and a textured Extra Spin 3D surface, over a soft SC White EVA core described as flexible and comfortable. The 2TB Air tubular frame is listed as 80 per cent carbon. The handle is extended, which retailers link to former tennis players and two-handed backhands.

Padel Shack calls it an exceptional balance of control and power, aimed at advanced players with a demanding style. Treat that as marketing. The numbers say control and handling are its strengths, and power is the weaker side.

Round or teardrop? Head heavy or low?

Weight sits at 355 to 370 g on most listings, with 360 g quoted as a single figure. Balance is where it falls apart. Padel Shack and Padel MQ say head heavy or high, Padel Reference says balanced in the table and low in the text, Futura says medium-high and Padel AI App says medium. Two shops call the head a teardrop and others round.

We cannot settle that from the listings. The face and core agree across every source, so weigh the racket and check the balance in hand. If you want to see how the line moved on, the Hurricane Pro 4.0 is the 2026 racket and the softer Hurricane Confort 4.0 is the comfort one.

Who should skip the Pro 3.0

Players who want free power, beginners and anyone who needs a verified balance. The power score is the lowest, the level is advanced to expert and the balance depends on whose listing you read. See the control padel rackets page for other options and the advanced padel rackets page for the wider range.

Not for you if

You want power from the racket, you are still learning or you need to know the balance before you buy. Power scores 7 and sources split on balance.

Setting up a Hurricane Pro 3.0

Fit a racket protector and a fresh overgrip; the padel grips page has the choices. Fresh padel balls suit a soft core, padel shoes help with the handling game and a padel bag with a thermal pocket protects the face.

Black Crown Hurricane Pro 3.0 Padel Racket (2025): questions people ask

Is the Hurricane Pro 3.0 the same as the Hurricane Pro 4.0?

No. The 3.0 is the 2025 racket and the 4.0 is the 2026 one. Both carry a 12K carbon face and a 2TB Air frame.

Is the Black Crown Hurricane Pro 3.0 round or teardrop?

Most listings say round, and two retailers call it a teardrop. Treat it as a round to teardrop shape and check the box.

Is the Hurricane Pro 3.0 head heavy?

Sources disagree. One retailer says head heavy, another says balanced and low, and others say medium or high.

Is the Hurricane Pro 3.0 good for intermediate players?

Listings put it at advanced to expert, and the soft core suits technical players. A strong intermediate can use it, but a forgiving racket is easier.

How heavy is the Hurricane Pro 3.0?

Most listings give 355 to 370 g, and several quote 360 g. One retailer lists 350 to 360 g.

What does the extended grip on the Hurricane Pro 3.0 do?

Retailers say it suits former tennis players and two-handed backhands by giving more room for the second hand.
