The Dunlop Galactica Junior padel racket is last season's junior racket from Dunlop: a hybrid-shaped racket of about 330 g with a soft Performance EVA core, a smooth fibreglass face and a 38 mm frame, for young players starting padel. Padel Shack describes a lightweight racket with easy playability and a wide sweet spot.
The seller page gives no age or height range and even disagrees with itself on weight and frame, so we set out what is stated and how it fits our kids' sizing guide.

What the Galactica Junior is
Padel Shack lists a hybrid head, an even balance, a soft Performance EVA core, a smooth fibreglass face and a 38 mm frame width, in black. It says the hybrid shape gives extra power and a wide sweet spot, and that the racket is built for easy playability.
Two details on that page do not agree. The weight field says 330 g with a 10 g tolerance while the additional information says 0.37 kg, which is probably a packed weight, and the frame is listed as fibreglass while the description says graphite. We use 330 g, as our own records do.
Which child is it for?
There is no age or height guidance, so use our kids fitting guide, which is ours and not Dunlop's. It puts racket weights of 320 to 340 g in the band for ages 11 to 13, around 140 to 155 cm tall, and 330 g sits in the middle of that.
Younger or smaller children are better on a lighter racket from our kids' padel rackets page. If you are choosing between this and the newer FX Junior, the two are within five grams of each other.
Galactica Junior or another Dunlop
The FX Junior is the 2026 junior racket at 335 g, and for an adult beginner the Galactica Lite and FX Start are the light options. The Megamax is the round, forgiving choice.
