Head Pro+ 3 Ball Tube

£5.12

The Head Pro+ 3 ball tube is one sealed can of three padel balls with a thinner wall that makes them easier to control, for players who want to try Head's tournament ball without buying a dozen.

It's the 2024 successor to the Head Padel Pro, the ball used on the World Padel Tour. Head pairs it with the firmer, bouncier Pro S+, which suits cold British courts better.

Why start with a single tube

A tube is the cheap way to find out whether you like the Pro+ before you commit to four cans. Head describes it as the ball that's easier to control, with a core made to keep pressure longer and a felt developed only for padel. Tennis Nuts files the three-ball can under code 540203.

If you do like it, the dozen works out as four tubes together, a case of 24 cans as 72 balls, and the Head x4 pressuriser helps keep opened cans lively. Head's own description is the only performance claim we have, because no independent ball test turned up.

Not for you if

You play outdoors in winter and want maximum pace. Head's firmer Pro S+ is the better match for cold, low-altitude courts.

Spec card for the Head Pro+ 3 ball tube: three sealed pressurised balls, a thinner wall for control per Head, a core that holds pressure longer, padel-specific felt, replacing the Head Padel Pro from 2024 and paired with the firmer Pro S+

What to hit them with

The Pro+ suits an attacking or all-round racket such as the Head Speed Pro. Browse every padel racket we list, and the full range of padel balls if you want to compare brands.

Keeping them lively

Once opened, a can loses pressure. A padel ball pressuriser slows that, and a hip-height drop test tells you when a ball is done for matches. Add a fresh overgrip from padel grips at the same time.

Head Pro+ 3 Ball Tube: questions people ask

Is the Head Pro+ good for winter in the UK?

Head's firmer Pro S+ is the better match for cold, damp courts. The Pro+ suits indoor and warm play.
