Dunlop FX Hybrid Padel Racket (2026)

£181.84

The Dunlop FX Hybrid padel racket is a head-heavy, hybrid-shaped racket for advanced players who want power with some precision: about 365 g, a high balance, a 12K carbon face and a Pro EVA core. Tennisnuts lists it for a counter-attacking style.

It sits next to the diamond FX Pro in Dunlop's 2026 FX range. We found no independent test scores, so this page sticks to what the listings say and flags the technology claims as the maker's.

What the FX Hybrid is

Tennisnuts lists a hybrid head, a 38 mm profile, a rough surface, a high head-heavy balance and a Pro EVA core, for advanced players. Padelspeed describes an attacking all-court racket with a firm Pro EVA core that is not uncomfortably hard, and says it is not the easiest option for beginners.

Where the sellers differ is the carbon. Tennisnuts says 12K carbon fibre construction, while Padelspeed says graphite is the main material with 12K carbon on the face. The K number is the weave of the face, not a strength rating for the whole frame.

Advanced or intermediate, and what counts as head heavy?

Tennisnuts says advanced. Our catalogue tags it intermediate to advanced, because sellers are loose about levels, so read the label as a warning about weight rather than a rule. A high, head-heavy balance with a 365 g racket means more mass to swing through the ball, which helps a smash and costs you time at the net.

If you are between this and a lighter racket, try the lighter one first. A racket you can swing late is worth more than one you can only swing early.

FX Hybrid against the rest of the FX range

The diamond FX Pro is the heaviest and most head-heavy of the range, while the FX Team is a diamond with an even balance. The hybrid shape sits between a diamond and a teardrop, which makes the FX Hybrid a little more forgiving than the Pro for the same attacking intent. The FX Hybrid Team is its medium-balance sibling, the FX Lite is the light diamond and the FX Start is the entry racket, with the FX Junior for young players.

Who should skip the FX Hybrid

Beginners, players with arm trouble and anyone who wants a light, soft racket. Head-heavy rackets reward a fast swing and punish a slow one. Our advanced padel rackets and teardrop padel rackets pages list alternatives, and our beginner padel rackets page starts gentler.

Add fresh padel balls, an overgrip from our padel grips range, proper padel shoes and a racket protector. Our guide to choosing a padel racket explains balance and weight, and the full padel racket range has the rest.

Not for you if

You are new to padel or want a light, soft racket. This one is head-heavy and built for attacking.
