Dunlop FX Lite Padel Racket (2026)

£129.50

The Dunlop FX Lite padel racket is the light diamond of Dunlop's 2026 FX range: about 355 g, a medium even balance, a 12K carbon face and a soft EVA core, for intermediate to advanced players who want attacking power that stays easy to swing. Many people search for it as the FX Light.

Tennisnuts lists it as a power-focus racket with a spin-oriented face, and the soft core is meant to ease arm strain. We found no independent test scores, so the technology claims are the maker's.

What the FX Lite is

Tennisnuts lists a diamond head of about 355 g with a 10 g tolerance, a 38 mm profile and a rough 12K special weave carbon face over a soft EVA core. The named technologies are Force Bridge for stability, SpinBoost and Power Holes for spin and precision, Sonic Core Infinergy by BASF for rebound and VibroShield to cut vibration.

The staff review calls it versatile for offensive players who still want responsiveness and comfort, with the softer core helping over long sessions. The even balance is the point: a diamond head with the weight kept back is easier to bring through than the head-heavy FX Pro.

Intermediate or advanced?

The Tennisnuts spec line says advanced, while its FAQ says intermediate to advanced, and our catalogue tags it for intermediates. A diamond is the least forgiving shape, so treat the lower end as a stretch: you want a clean volley and a settled smash before this racket will repay you.

The lighter weight is what makes it reachable, and the soft core takes some of the sting out of mishits. It is not a racket for a beginner, but it is a sensible first diamond.

FX Lite or another light Dunlop

The FX Team is the same shape at 365 g, and the FX Pro is the head-heavy one. The FX Hybrid Team swaps the diamond for a hybrid head. Among last season's lights, the Tristorm Lite is a diamond at 350 g and the Galactica Lite is a hybrid.

Who should skip the FX Lite

Beginners and anyone who wants a very soft, forgiving racket, since a diamond head has a smaller sweet spot. Our diamond padel rackets and intermediate padel rackets pages list alternatives, and our beginner padel rackets page starts gentler.

Add fresh padel balls, an overgrip from our padel grips range, proper padel shoes and a racket protector. Our guide to choosing a padel racket covers weight and shape, and the full padel racket range has the rest.

Not for you if

You are a beginner or want a very forgiving racket. A diamond head asks for timing, even a light one.
