What the Galactica Pro LS is

LS marks the lighter build. Tennisnuts lists a hybrid head, 365 g with a 10 g tolerance, a medium and even balance of about 260 mm, a Pro EVA core, a rough Extra Grip surface, Tri-Max frame reinforcement, a control hole pattern and a 38 mm frame. Its FAQ says the LS is slightly lighter than the standard Galactica Pro, with a medium balance, so it is more manoeuvrable.

That is the point. The heavier, high-balance Galactica Pro is the power racket, and the LS trades some of that for handling. Padelful lists a 370 g racket, so allow for the spread.

Bar chart of Padelful ratings for the Dunlop Galactica Pro LS 2025: manoeuvrability 8.6, sweet spot 8.4, overall 8, rebound 8, control 7.8, power 7.4

How it plays: handy, stable and moderate on power

Padelful's pros are strong manoeuvrability, a good sweet spot, consistent shot placement from the baseline and stability in fast exchanges thanks to the Tri-Max bridge. It adds that the carbon build supports strong smashes. A Tennisnuts staff review calls it control and responsiveness with a lively feel.

Power is the lowest rating at 7.4, and Padelful says it is not the best fit for beginners. Think of it as a racket for someone who already knows where the ball should go.

Hybrid or teardrop? 15K or 16K?

Tennisnuts says hybrid and Padelful says tear. Tennisnuts lists 15K carbon in its spec table and 16K in its copy, and Padelful gives 16K. Weight is 365 g on one and 370 on the other, level is advanced on one and intermediate to advanced on the other. Both agree on the Pro EVA core.

Our reading is a mid-weight carbon racket with a medium balance and a level somewhere around a strong improver. Our catalogue also lists a second Pro LS entry titled Dunlop 25 Galactica Pro LS, which appears to be the same racket under a different name, so check the title before you order.
