Dunlop Galactica Team Padel Racket (2025)

£77.37

The Dunlop Galactica Team padel racket is the mid-range carbon hybrid from Dunlop's 2025 Galactica range: about 365 g, an even balance, a carbon face and frame and a soft Performance EVA core, made for improving players who want a bit of spin and a steady all-round feel. It is last season's racket, since Dunlop has moved to the FX range for 2026.

Sellers agree on the weight and the balance. They disagree on the shape, mostly hybrid with one teardrop listing, and on the level, with some saying intermediate and others saying intermediate to advanced. We found no independent test, so there are no ratings here.

What the Galactica Team is

Padel Shack lists it as a hybrid with an even balance, a carbon frame, a carbon face with a rough finish, a 38 mm profile and a soft Performance EVA core. Tri-Max reinforcement is there for stability, Control Holes for precision, and the rough Extra Grip surface for spin.

It sits between the Galactica Lite and the Galactica Pro in weight and ambition, and the round limited-edition Galactica OS Nisse is the control-minded alternative. An older Galactica Team without a year also turns up in search results, so check for the 2025 label before you order.

How it should play

No independent test exists that we could find, so this is what the specification implies rather than a verdict. An even balance in a hybrid head is the all-rounder's recipe: easy to swing at the net, with enough weight behind a smash. The soft Performance EVA core should be comfortable on longer sessions, and the rough face is there to help the ball bite.

A 2026 Padelspeed guide, seen as a search result, calls the Team an intermediate all-round racket that blends control, comfort and spin with accessible power. That is a retailer's view, so take it as marketing, though it fits the numbers.

What the sellers disagree on

Padel Shack, Tennisnuts and most Padelshop pages say hybrid, 365 g, even balance. One Padelshop page lists 355 to 370 g, a teardrop head and medium balance. Padelgids rates it for intermediate to advanced players, while Padelspeed leans intermediate, and Padel Shack gives no level. The face is carbon on every listing, and one calls it Carbon Aluminazed 2 to 1.

Our reading is a mid-weight carbon hybrid with an even balance and a level somewhere between a strong improver and a decent club player. If shape matters to you, try one in your hand, because the label differs by seller.

Galactica Team or the 2026 FX Team?

The 2026 Dunlop FX Team, one step below the head-heavy FX Pro, takes a similar place in Dunlop's range at the same 365 g, but it is a diamond, and Padelful scores it 9.5 for power, 8.0 for control and only 6.5 for sweet spot. The Galactica Team is the gentler, more even choice, and the graphite-framed Nanomax Pro is a similar-weight alternative. The Galactica Pro LS is the lighter, medium-balance Pro. For a lighter option look at the Galactica Lite, and for a heavier one the Galactica Pro.

Who should skip the Galactica Team

Beginners, who will do better with a plain soft frame from our beginner padel rackets page, and hard hitters who want a diamond. If you need the current range for a league, remember this is last season's racket and may be sold out, as Padel Shack's listing was when we looked. Players moving up can compare it with our intermediate padel rackets.

Not for you if

You are new to padel, you want a diamond's power or you need the 2026 range. We found no independent test and the sellers disagree on shape and level.

Setting it up

Fit a racket protector and keep a fresh overgrip from our padel grips range ready, because a rough face and a carbon frame both pick up scuffs. Play with good padel balls and wear proper padel shoes, and a Dunlop FX Team bag or any other padel bag keeps it safe.
