Head Coello Junior 2025 Padel Racket

£58.63

The Head Coello Junior 2025 padel racket is last season's edition of HEAD's Arturo Coello junior: a black, glossy 310 g oversize teardrop with a 525 cm² head, a fibreglass face and a Power Foam core, made for children who play every week and have outgrown a first round racket.

On every sheet we could find, it matches the 2026 model number for number. So the honest question isn't which plays better. It's which design your child would rather carry onto court.

  • Oversize teardrop, 525 cm²
  • Balance 265 mm
  • 38 mm frame

Last season, the same racket underneath

HEAD changed the paint for 2026 and left the numbers alone. Both seasons weigh 310 g with a 10 g tolerance, both have the 525 cm² oversize teardrop head, a 38 mm frame and a 265 mm balance, and both put a soft fibreglass face over Power Foam. The 2025 is the black one, glossy, with Coello's crown logo and signature on the throat.

That makes this a sensible buy if your child isn't fussed about owning this year's graphic. If they are, and the newest Coello design is the reason they want it, the Coello Junior 2026 is the one to get. The buy box shows the current price of each.

How it feels in a young player's hand

Retailers can't agree what to call the balance. Padel Nuestro files it under low, another shop says even, and the 2026 sheet with the same 265 mm figure says high. We'd trust the number over the label. On a short junior frame, 265 mm sits a little towards the head, so the racket carries some weight through the ball on a full swing without feeling like a club at the net.

The big head is the part a parent will notice in the first session. Mishits that fly off a smaller frame still go back over the net, and the Power Foam gives a short, half-learned swing enough pace to reach the back of the court. HEAD's Integrated Protector System, a carbon bumper moulded into the frame, takes the knocks from the floor and the glass, and Innegra fibres damp some of the vibration.

Is 310 g right for your child?

Padel Nuestro calls it a racket for developing junior players, and HEAD gives no age. Our size chart for every junior racket we sell puts 310 g with children of about 125 to 140 cm, roughly 8 to 10, stretching older for smaller players. A child below that height will cope better with the 300 g round Head Monster Kids.

If two HEAD juniors at 310 g are confusing you, the Speed Junior is the other one. It has a standard teardrop head and a medium balance, so it's a little easier to manoeuvre and a little less forgiving. A child of 10 or more who already hits hard can go up to the 320 g Extreme Junior.

Not for you if

Your child is in their first handful of sessions or under about 125 cm, or wants the newest Coello design and will notice the difference. A 300 g round junior or the 2026 edition will suit better.

Grip, shoes and balls for a junior player

A thin overgrip from padel grips helps a small hand hold on, and it's cheap to replace when it goes shiny. Add a strip from the racket protector range over HEAD's bumper if the racket gets scraped along the floor. For shoes, the Head Kids Revolt Pro 4.0 has a padel sole, and padel shoes lists the other junior pairs. The Head Padel One tube is a steady club ball, with more on padel balls. Every adult racket for when they move up is on padel rackets, and the guide to choosing a padel racket explains shape and weight.

Head Coello Junior 2025 Padel Racket: questions people ask

Is the Head Coello Junior 2025 different from the 2026 model?

Not on the published sheets. Both are 310 g oversize teardrops with a 525 cm² head, a 265 mm balance and fibreglass over Power Foam. The 2025 is the black edition; the 2026 has the new season graphic.

Is the Coello Junior 2025 too heavy for an 8-year-old?

Not usually. At 310 g it suits most children of about 125 to 140 cm. A small 8-year-old, or one in their first few sessions, will find the 300 g Head Monster Kids easier.

Head Coello Junior 2025 or Monster Kids: which is better for a beginner?

For a true beginner, the Monster Kids: it is 10 g lighter and round, with a low sweet spot. The Coello Junior 2025 is the better choice once a child is rallying and swinging through the ball.

Does the Coello Junior 2025 have frame protection?

Yes. HEAD moulds a carbon bumper, its Integrated Protector System, into the top of the frame. A stick-on protector strip adds a second layer for children who scrape the racket on the floor.

What does the 265 mm balance mean on the Coello Junior 2025?

It is the distance from the butt of the handle to the balance point. On a short junior frame it sits slightly towards the head, so the racket carries some weight through the ball without feeling heavy at the net.
