Head Coello Junior Padel Racket 2026

£62.82

The Head Coello Junior padel racket is the junior racket in Arturo Coello's HEAD collection: 310 g, an oversize teardrop with a 525 cm² head, a fibreglass face on Power Foam and the Coello crown logo, for children who play regularly and want the racket with the world's best-known name on it.

It's the same weight as HEAD's Speed Junior. What changes is the bigger head, a balance a little further up the frame, and the design, which for a lot of children is the whole point.

  • Head-heavy balance

A junior frame with an adult-size head

HEAD keeps the Coello Junior light at 310 g, with a 10 g tolerance, and gives it an oversize teardrop head of 525 cm², the same size as HEAD's adult starter rackets. That big hitting area forgives the off-centre contact every junior makes. The face is fibreglass, soft on young arms, over a Power Foam core that helps a short swing send the ball deep.

The balance is listed as high, or head-heavy, with one retailer giving 265 mm. That puts a little more weight behind the ball than the Speed Junior's medium balance, which suits a child who already swings through the ball rather than pushing it. HEAD adds Innegra, an Integrated Protector System bumper and its Tailored Frame.

Table comparing the Head Coello Junior 2026 with the Speed Junior 2025: both 310 g with Power Foam and fibreglass, the Coello Junior with an oversize 525 cm² teardrop head and a head-heavy balance

Which child it suits

HEAD calls it a junior racket without an age, and one retailer pitches it at children of 10 and over who play regularly. On our kids padel racket size chart, a 310 g racket usually fits children of about 125 to 140 cm. Younger or smaller beginners are better with the 300 g Head Monster Kids, and children who hit harder can move to the 320 g Head Extreme Junior.

If the choice is between this and the Head Speed Junior, they weigh the same. Pick the Coello for the bigger head and the name, the Speed for a medium balance that's a touch easier at the net.

Where the Coello line goes next

The Coello collection runs from this junior to the 370 g Coello Pro Arturo Coello uses on tour. The first adult step is the Coello Vibe, a 360 g fibreglass teardrop, which makes it the natural next racket once a teenager is ready for adult weight. The diamonds above it are for older, stronger players.

Not for you if

Your child is under about 125 cm or in their first few sessions, or already plays like an adult. A 300 g junior or a light adult racket such as the Coello Vibe will fit better.

What else a young player needs

A soft overgrip from padel grips helps small hands hold on, and a strip from the racket protector range adds to HEAD's bumper. Court shoes in junior sizes, such as the Head Kids Revolt Pro 4.0, stop slips on sandy turf (padel shoes has every junior pair we stock), and a steady club ball from padel balls keeps rallies going. The full range is on padel rackets.
